This 2023 Toyota Tacoma came in for a full WoolWax® undercoating to get protected before another harsh Canadian winter!

Tacomas are known for their reliability and longevity, but like any truck exposed to Ontario winters, rust can quickly become an expensive problem if left unchecked.

We gave this one a thorough application, protecting the frame inside and out, crossmembers, suspension components, A-arms, floorboards and other vulnerable areas underneath. The doors, hood, tailgate and rocker panels were also treated to help protect those hidden areas where moisture and road salt love to collect.

A pretty cool piece of GM history rolled into the shop for some WoolWax protection!

This 2007 Chevrolet TrailBlazer SS isn't your average SUV. Packing a 6.0L LS2 V8 derived from the Corvette, paired with an all-wheel-drive system, the TBSS was one of GM's most unique performance SUVs. With only a short production run from 2006 to 2009, these have become a rare sight on the roads, especially here in Ontario.

We started by removing any loose, flaking rust to clean up the undercarriage and prepare the surface for WoolWax. From there, the underside received a thorough coating, including the frame inside and out, crossmembers, suspension components and other rust-prone areas.

We didn't stop underneath either. The doors, rear hatch, rocker panels and rear quarter panels all received protection inside their hidden cavities, where moisture and road salt can cause damage over time.

It's not every day you get to work on a piece of GM performance history like this. With 395 horsepower from the factory and the practicality of an SUV, these were pretty special machines for their time.

Another one protected and ready for many more years on the road!

This low mileage 2022 Dodge Ram Classic came in for its very first undercoating, and the owner made a great choice going with WoolWax!

Brand new Ram 2500 with only 6,000 km on the clock came in to get protected before rust even had a chance to start!

This truck received a complete WoolWax® undercoating. The entire frame was coated inside and out, along with all crossmembers and the underbody. The spare tire was dropped to make sure everything behind and above it was properly protected.

We also treated the inside of the doors, hood, rockers and tailgate to help prevent rust from forming in those hidden areas.

The best time to protect your investment is before rust starts, not after the damage is already done.

This Toyota RAV4 came in for a full WoolWax® undercoating to get it protected before another harsh Ontario winter!

This RAV4 has 5 skid plates underneath, and every single one was removed to ensure proper coverage. There's no point in protecting a vehicle if you're leaving large areas underneath completely untouched.

With everything removed, we thoroughly coated the underbody, including the crossmembers, A-arms, floor, and rockers.

We didn't stop underneath either. The doors, hood, hatch, and radiator support were also treated to help protect those hidden areas where rust can develop.

Another vehicle properly protected and ready to take on everything an Ontario winter throws at it!

This brand new Tacoma came in for a full WoolWax® undercoating to keep it protected from Ontario winters.

The entire underside was thoroughly coated, including the inside and outside of the frame rails, crossmembers, subframe, A-arms, cab floor, and box sides.

Getting protection into those hard-to-reach areas is just as important as coating what you can see. Proper coverage now means better protection against rust and corrosion down the road.

Happy Tuesday! Today we've got a brand new Toyota Tacoma in the shop for a full WoolWax undercoating. Getting this truck protected right from day one before Ontario's salt and winter roads get a chance to do their damage!

“Why does your undercoating take 4–6 hours when other shops can do it in 30 minutes to an hour?”

This is exactly why.

What you're seeing here is what happens when skid plates are left in place during an undercoating. Years of exposure, rust, and areas that have never seen a drop of protection.

On this particular vehicle, removing the skid plate also gives us access to the inner rocker panels, an area that's especially important to protect against Ontario winters.

If we didn't remove it, these areas would have been missed AGAIN.

At Get Shutt Done Auto Detailing, we take the extra time to get into the areas most people will never see. Because undercoating isn't just about making the underside look good. It's about protecting the areas where rust can start and spread.
