Pictured here are two of our newest members back from training with Captain Derrick. They are ready to enjoy unlimited use of our fleet of boats on Halifax Harbour and St. Margaret's Bay as well as free visitor access to boats at 425+ sites around the world! At Freedom Boat Club, we believe that safe, competent boaters are happy boaters. That is why unlimited training is included in all our regular memberships.

With the change in SailGP race times at short notice to an earlier time on Sunday, it was a "race" to get our boat, members and Captain Mark into the special BYOB viewing zone but they made it! Look at that tri-toon go!

We Are OPEN!

What a glorious day to start boating this season! We are delighted to be settled into our temporary relocation from the Kings Wharf Marina in Dartmouth to 367 Bedford Highway on the site of the Sagar Ratan restaurant and Bedford Basin Beer Garden. It has been a fun morning welcoming both new and returning Members! Glorious memory making adventures await!

It is about being able to reduce our impact on the environment and improve our quality of life while not implying deprivation.

We want our Members to feel safe and comfortable when they operate our boats so that they can truly enjoy their boating experiences. Starting with New Member Orientation and Basic Boat Operations training, we provide unlimited free training as well as Intermediate and Advanced (Offshore) training. Whether you are a "never ever" boater or have years of boating experience, our experienced Captains are here to assist you with the skills you need to enjoy safe and enjoyable times on the water!
