In its second year, our Drive to Play program brought more drives, more hockey and more community. 🔴🟡

🌾 Fun Fact: Grain Carts & Tire Pressure
Grain carts are built to carry some serious weight. A large 1,100-bushel cart can put a lot of pressure on the ground, which makes reducing soil compaction especially important during harvest.

That’s where flotation tires and CFO (Cyclic Field Operation) technology can make a difference. CFO-rated tires are designed to handle the repeated loading and unloading of grain carts while operating at lower air pressures.

For example, a VF1050/50R32 tire carrying 26,650 lbs at 9 mph can run at approximately 31 PSI with CFO technology compared to 41 PSI standard — about 25% less air pressure.

Lower tire pressure means a larger footprint and less ground pressure, helping reduce soil compaction while still handling the heavy loads harvest demands.

🌾 A little tire technology can make a big difference in the field.

In true OK Tire 2.0 fashion, this year’s regional meetings took on a bit of a different look.

For our first-ever OK Tire Summit, members and partners throughout the West gathered in Calgary, Alberta for a few days of updates, training and fun. 🟡

After a series of educational presentations from partners, Groupe Touchette, Blackhawk Tire North America, Toyo Tires Canada, Bridgestone Canada and NAPA Auto Parts, as well as an inspiring speech from guest speaker, Tyler Smith, the team pivoted to an exciting tradeshow to cap off the event.

Staying true to our community roots, we had some friendly competition to help raise funds for a member of the South Okanagan OK Tire family (and their community) who lost everything in this summer’s devastating wildfires.

Thank you to all attendees for helping making our inaugural event such a success. 👏

We’re ready to take on the East!
