Sounds like the smoke in the area is coming from the fires around Boston Bar and Lytton. Not ideal but not from a fire close by, not that we have heard yet anyway. 🤞

"The Chucks" is the nickname for a stretch of rapids on the Shuswap River near Mabel Lake and experienced kayakers have been coming back to them for years.

For paddlers who like it calm, the gentler stretches of the river are just as beautiful. The resort is your launch point for both.
