We just finished up this C10 build for a customer. This 6.0L got a BTR camshaft and a few other upgrades to get it ready for boost, along with a 4L80 and Circle D converter. We also went through and rebuilt the rear end with a fresh set of gears and a Truetrac carrier.
The entire powertrain is controlled by a Holley Terminator X Max system, and the chassis has been rewired from headlight to taillight. Dakota Digital RTX gauges, cruise control, and a modern HVAC system were also added to help control the cab temps.
This turbo kit was originally done by the late KB Racing. His kits were second to none and fit great. Since it was a 99–06 NBS kit, we made a few modifications to the hot side and built the entire cold side and stainless steel exhaust system in-house.
The Precision Turbo, hot- and cold-side piping were ceramic coated and painted by Northwest Coatings, who did a great job making the colours work with the overall theme of this build.
With a bunch of Holley components, including a Hi-Ram and valve covers, a Motion catch can, and a completely new fuel system, we’re barely even leaning on this combo. It’s making a bit over 500 RWHP and drives great!
There’s lots left if it ever needs it, but at this point, this setup does everything this C10 needs. I’m sure you’ll see this truck out at local shows and cruising around lots next year!
