🧡 SMALL BUSINESS WEEK | A THANK YOU TO OUR TEAM 🧡

With Small Business Week here, we wanted to take a moment to recognize the people who help make Front Ta-Back Motors what it is today.

As a small business owner, one thing we've learned over the past seven years is that no matter how much time, effort, or passion you put into building something, you can't do it all on your own.

Running an independent automotive repair shop comes with its fair share of challenges. There are long days, difficult repairs, unexpected setbacks, and times when nothing seems to go according to plan.

But it's the people you have around you who make the difference.

Anyone who knows us knows that we have high expectations when it comes to the quality of work that leaves our shop. We take pride in what we do, and believe that if something is worth doing, it's worth doing right.

We also recognize that those expectations aren't always easy to meet. They require patience, attention to detail, dedication, and sometimes going that extra mile when it would be easier not to.

And that's exactly why we appreciate our team as much as we do.

Whether it's spending the extra time to properly diagnose a problem, making sure a repair is completed to our standards, helping a customer through a frustrating situation, or simply keeping things moving on a hectic day, those efforts don't go unnoticed.

We know that in the middle of a busy workday, we don't always take the time to say thank you as often as we should.

🏁 1988 FOX BODY MUSTANG – BUILT FOR WHAT'S NEXT! 🔧🔥

Sometimes the best builds don't start from scratch. They start with a solid foundation and a vision!

This 1988 Ford Mustang came into Front Ta-Back Motors with a customer who wanted to know exactly what condition his previously rebuilt engine was in.

After going through the engine and assessing its condition, we determined it was a great starting point for what he had planned.

With a solid foundation to work from, it was time to bring his vision to life! 💪

🔧 Here's what went into this build:

✅ Replaced engine seals

✅ Installed new aluminum cylinder heads

✅ Upgraded to roller rockers

✅ Installed a new fuel pump

✅ Upgraded the mass air flow sensor and fuel injectors

✅ Installed a new intake manifold

✅ Refinished the engine with automotive-grade paint for a clean, durable finish

✅ Converted the original cable-operated clutch to a hydraulic setup for smoother, easier operation

The result? A refreshed and upgraded 5.0L with the components to support the customer's performance goals, a sharp new appearance, and improved drivability.

This is what we love about working on classic muscle cars. Every project is different, and every customer has their own vision of what they want their vehicle to become.

🏁 1970 FORD MUSTANG MACH 1 – 428 SUPER COBRA JET! 🏁

🔧 From a struggling classic to a dyno-proven muscle car!

Not every restoration starts with a plan to rebuild an entire drivetrain. Sometimes, it starts with a problem that nobody else has been able to solve.

This beautiful 1970 Mustang Mach 1, equipped with a legendary 428 Super Cobra Jet and 4-speed manual transmission, arrived at Front Ta-Back Motors running extremely poorly.

After visits to multiple repair shops, the owner was still searching for answers.

That's where our team stepped in.

Through careful diagnosis, we determined that the engine itself was failing and needed more than just adjustments or tuning.

Rather than applying another temporary fix, we worked with the customer to address the underlying problems and bring this iconic Mustang back to life.

🔧 Here's what went into this project:

✅ Complete 428 Super Cobra Jet engine rebuild
✅ Engine dyno-tested and professionally tuned before installation
✅ Carburetor rebuilt
✅ 4-speed manual transmission rebuilt
✅ Rear differential inspected and checked
✅ Hard-to-operate hydraulic clutch replaced
✅ New flywheel installed
✅ Engine reinstalled and supporting systems addressed

💪 THE DYNO RESULTS:

🔥 350 HORSEPOWER
🔥 430 LB-FT OF TORQUE

With a rebuild focused on retaining its original character and specifications, this 428 SCJ delivered the kind of strong, classic muscle car performance it was built for!

For us, projects like this aren't just about horsepower or shiny engine bays. They're about proper diagnostics, quality workmanship, attention to detail, and giving owners confidence in their classic vehicles again.

There's something pretty special about bringing a piece of automotive history back to life, especially one as iconic as a 428 Super Cobra Jet Mustang.
