Multimatic ASV™ technology combines the precision and repeatability of DSSV™ damping with continuous electronic adjustment.

Vehicle-level control software continuously observes driver inputs, vehicle motion states, and road conditions to identify optimal damping from each damper valve. Stepper-motor-actuated spool valves then deliver the independent compression and rebound damping targets.

The result is a suspension system that retains the natural feel of hydraulic spool valve damping while providing a broader range of ride, handling, and vehicle-control capability from a single hardware package.

Multimatic engineers use high-fidelity virtual dynamics simulation, objective on-vehicle performance verification, and expert in-vehicle development to rapidly evaluate, refine and optimize target vehicle attributes.

ASV combines electronically adaptive spool valve hardware with vehicle-level control software to continuously adjust damping, which increases performance and broadens the tuning envelope. Multimatic engineers can simultaneously achieve greater ride comfort and handling performance while implementing unique tuning characters to a single vehicle platform.
