Fixin’ the Vixen episode 19.

Thanks to everyone for your patience with the vixen updates. We’ve been so slammed at the shop so we haven’t had much time to work on it, but we got some more updates coming soon!

Today I’ve been working on getting the roof vent fan running. I can’t believe this was what the issue was the whole time, but I haven’t really spent any time digging into the problem. It just bothered me enough today that I wanted to look into it.

So far most of the issues on the Vixen have been relatively minor and we’ve successfully put a few miles on it so I still can’t believe someone would just give up on it and send it to scrap, but one man’s trash is another man’s treasure I guess!

Yeah sure I could buy the puller, but we don’t do these N57s that often so I’m very happy with this tool that only costed me free.99

Gotta give BMW some credit where it’s due, at least they fixed the design and came up with a good solution for this issue!
This is a relatively easy upgrade you can do on your M to save a lot of headache in the future.
Ive seen rusty bolts even on otherwise clean cars! The M2 in the beginning of the video was very low mileage and so clean you could eat off the car, but still 1 of the bolts already had corrosion starting. The M3 in the later part of the video was still under 100K Km and all the bolts were rusted.

Part number for the bolt is
07 14 9 503 940. Each car will need 4 bolts
