Boat wiring, installs, and electrical maintenance

10/28/2026

Nice morning back in Little Pond wiring the F/V Gergia Lynn, few more days will finish her up if the weather co-operates!

A few before-and-after pictures of the F/V Bay Shoal following a complete rewire by Red Mud Marine.

This was a challenging project with limited working space, but we got it done!

🔧 Some of the upgrades included:

- Installed a new custom panel from Master Controls, mounted on a 1/2" HDPE backing panel with hinges for easier access and future servicing.
- Upgraded to a larger electrical panel with two 100A main breakers, fed by Blue Sea fuse blocks.
- Removed the old wiring and relocated the data box to a higher position.
- Built and installed a custom wiper switch panel.
- Added a washdown switch and relays to power the larger light bars.
- Installed new stereo equipment, dome lights, and much more.

Another boat brought up to date with cleaner wiring, improved accessibility, and upgraded electrical systems.

Thank you for the business, Mike! We appreciate you choosing Red Mud Marine for your electrical work.

Another full re wire started on a beautiful Friday afternoon!

A few progress pics from the F/V Bay Shoal ⚡️

Full re-wire underway, including a new custom electrical panel with dual 100A mains. The panel is mounted on a 1/2" black HDPE backing board and hinged for much easier access and servicing.

The cabin is a tight space to work in with limited headroom, so making the panel accessible without having to fight for space was definitely worth the extra work.

More to come as we get closer to finishing this one. 🔧⚓️
