Today, we remember Cody Nelson, who tragically passed away at just 23 years old.

Although Cody had only been with us since April, he quickly became part of the Barrelhouse family. He brought a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a smile that will be deeply missed by those who worked alongside him. In the short time we knew him, Cody left an impact on our team that will not be forgotten.

Our hearts are with Cody’s family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. During this difficult time, we extend our deepest condolences and keep all those affected by this loss in our thoughts.

We are grateful for the time we had with Cody and will remember him fondly.

Last week, Sobeys Gravenhurst accepted donations from customers with Sobeys making their own donation In Loving Memory of Cody Nelson 23 Years Old. Cody left us too soon after bring struck by an impaired driver in Bracebridge. Cody was loved by family, friends and colleagues with a great smile!.
Thank you everyone for helping to raise $23,052.73!

As many of you know, Cody Nelson passed away on May 21st at the young age of 23.
As a previous member of our A&W family, we are selling our “Cookies for Charity” as COOKIES FOR CODY June 1st - July 31st. ($3 each) with 100% of the proceeds going to his family during this devastating time.

Cody was a valued and cherished member of our family starting in 2018! Cody had big dreams, with big goals in mind - no challenge was too small or too big and nothing was going to stand in his way. He quickly became a fan favourite by co-workers and customers bringing joy, humour, incredible work ethic and his contagious goofy grin to each shift. Cody was a bright light in our family when he was with us, and we will all miss him dearly.
