The Super Production Challenge 2026 season is done. A personal SPC best at CMT for the 8legs team handed in by Eric Hochgeschurz in Qualifying and a very hard fought 2nd place in Race one. Unfortunately, while the penultimate race started as planned, it very quickly went to s**t, and we missed the ultimate race as a result as well ... the damage was too severe. We also inadvertently collected our good friends and honourary team mates' Metric Homes Racing 91 BMW in the metal crunching mix :(
We want to thank the SPC series, the officials, volunteers, and everyone who makes it happen ... the series this year has stepped up, and the competition is fantastic, and getting closer with each event! We have great cars, great drivers, and great teams, and for this playground, we are super thankful. The 8legs Racing BMW is finally reaching the level we know it's capable of, and we can't wait to be back at it in 2027!
We want to thank our team! So grateful to have these wonderful humans with us though all the highs and lows that is a race team. They work, and cheer, and they push us to want to do better and deliver results. We do it because we love it, but also because they love it, and because the team effort is so worth it, and there is so much reward beyond just winning the races!
And as always, to our friends and family and wives, that maybe sometimes think we're nuts for being in this sport, but who never fail to grant us this passion and craziness and magical moments. We love you, and love the (sometimes grudging) support!
