❄️🛞 YOUR FRIENDLY WEDNESDAY WINTER TIRE REMINDER! 🛞❄️

It’s October 21st, which means we’ve officially entered that special time of year where everyone looks outside and says:

“Meh… I’ve still got time.” 😂

You do.

But so does everybody else. 👀

December 1st is getting closer, and vehicles registered in Québec need to have their approved winter tires on by then.

And if you’re part of the studded tire gang, good news — studs have been allowed since October 15th! ❄️

So maybe this is your sign to go look at those winter tires that have been sitting exactly where you threw them last spring. 😂

Because we all know how this story ends:

☀️ October: “I’ll call next week.”

🌧️ Early November: “I still have time.”

🌨️ Weather forecast: shows ONE snowflake

🍂🦃 THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY CLOSURE 🦃🍂

Just a friendly heads-up from the Garage SDR team!

We will be CLOSED Monday, October 12th for Thanksgiving so our crew can enjoy a well-deserved long weekend with family and friends. ❤️

We’ll be back in the shop and ready to go on Tuesday, October 13th! 🔧🚗

We’d like to wish all of our customers, friends, and families a safe and Happy Thanksgiving! 🧡

Another week in the shop is almost in the books! 🙌

The hoists have been busy, the tools have been turning, and at least one rusty bolt has tested our patience more than we’d like to admit. 😂

October is officially here, which means a few things…

🦌 Hunting season is here!
🛞 Winter tire season is creeping up on us
🧂 Undercoating season is in full swing
❄️ And unfortunately… winter is coming whether we’re emotionally prepared for it or not. 🥲

With many of you heading out hunting over the next few weeks, we want to wish all the hunters out there good luck, stay safe, and happy hunting! 🦌🍂

And before you take the hunting truck 30 km down a road that stopped being a road 20 km ago… maybe give it a quick once-over first. 😂🔧

🧂🚗 FUN FACT FRIDAY! 🔧

Fun fact: Quebec roads basically season your vehicle with salt all winter.

Unfortunately… your vehicle is not a french fry. 🍟😭

Salt + moisture + slush = a pretty great recipe for rust.

And trust us… rust is one thing you DON’T want extra seasoning on. 😂

That’s where undercoating comes in! 🛡️

Undercoating helps protect those rust-prone areas underneath your vehicle from everything our lovely Canadian winters throw at it. ❄️🧂

Because while a little surface rust might not look too scary at first, corrosion can eventually start causing problems with things you’d probably prefer to keep intact… like:

🏁💥 WELL… THAT’S A WRAP. 💥🏁

Garage SDR officially made our demolition derby debut this weekend at Club de Course New Richmond! 🔧🏎️

We spend Monday to Friday trying to keep vehicles OUT of the scrapyard…

So naturally, over the weekend, we decided to see how quickly we could put one in it. 😂

Did we win?

No. Very much not. 😂

Did we have an unreasonable amount of fun absolutely destroying a perfectly good VW Rabbit?

Absolutely. 😂💥

And thanks to the before & after pictures, we have photographic evidence that she certainly gave it her all. 🫡😂

Now… we DO happen to know which company’s car took home the win. 👀🏆

And purely coincidentally, the owner happens to be one of our best clients.

So congratulations on the win. 👏

Your vehicle is still welcome at Garage SDR.

We’re professionals.

We would never hold a grudge. 😊
