NABRR points standings π heading into Race 4 π at Mode Stadium Stateline Speedway in Post Falls, ID - Saturday, August 15th. β¬β¬β¬
First place Cole Wiesner (11) reasserts his dominance in Rochester, WA with his first sweep of the season - fastest qualifier, win in the 12-lap A Heat, win in the 40-lap main event! Wiesner took control of the track at South Sound Speedway, and pushed a pace that no one else could. He's looking confident, unshakeable, steady, and fast - VERY FAST. A showing like that has Wiesner extending his lead while displaying all the hard work for him and the team at Elite Diesel Racing. They've built an absolute POWERHOUSE in the 11 truck.
Who can doubt the power of the CAT C15, and the power of an experienced, three-time champion driver behind the wheel? These are the kinds of questions the rest of the drivers will be asking themselves heading into the final four races.
Our defending champion, Brady Riplinger (91), remains in second place. Falling to fourth in qualifying, and a fifth in the A Heat, Riplinger kept his cool, clutching up with a second place showing in the 40-lap Main. He's setting his eyes on a big night at one of his favorite tracks - Stateline Speedway. The tight quarter-mile track has produced success for Riplinger, and he's hoping the handling of the 91 can outperform the power of Wiesner's 11 at the shorter track. You can count on seeing more high-stakes battles between the 11 and the 91 this weekend!
A massive amount of entertainment was produced by an unbelievable battle between Ashley Creed (15), and TJ Nonamaker (62) in the main event. They were locked door-to-door, wheel-to-wheel for over half the race in a battle for third place! This was all happening right behind Riplinger as the 91, 15, and 62 ran right around the same pace the entire race. It was the focal point of the race. Nonamaker ran the inside lane at a fast enough pace, finally edging out Creed for the last podium spot late in the race.
Creed remains in third place, and sits 14 points behind Riplinger.
Nonamaker begins a surge in the 62, and with a race less than all the trucks in front of him, he inserts himself as one of the fastest in the series. The latest returning driver to the series will be trying to push his way into the top five in the standings at Stateline Speedway. Keep an eye on the 15 and 62.
Other shout outs:
Jaeger Berdahl was the winner of both the B Heat, and the trophy dash. Berdahl's 26 put on a good show for the fans!
Cory 'Ripper' Riplinger and the team at Victory Big Rig Racing are proving their strength and experience as the newest truck, the 77, continues improving, getting faster and faster. Ripper's solid showing at South Sound Speedway has the 77 jumping up a couple spots in points, from eighth to sixth.
Ron Singer stepped up and drove the 00 for Darren Berdahl, and had some exciting racing. Singer threw down some fast and exciting laps throughout the night in his first race of the season. With three different drivers in three races this season, the 00 remains in the top five in fifth spot - a joint effort in the Peterbuilt with a lot of Big Rig Racing history!
GET READY for the MAYHEM at Stateline Speedway this Saturday!
