🌲😂 TELL ME YOU OWN A SEASONAL CAMPGROUND WITHOUT TELLING ME YOU OWN A SEASONAL CAMPGROUND…

🚽 Today’s episode: The freestanding outhouse!

Yep… we're going there. 🤣

Not every campground job is glamorous, but every job matters!

Our freestanding outhouse in the unserviced camping area needs attention before we can officially call it a season. Because while our campers are packing up their trailers and heading home, we're busy making sure everything is taken care of for winter.

There are plenty of behind-the-scenes jobs that nobody thinks about when they're enjoying their camping getaway… and this is definitely one of them! 😂

It's cleaned, checked, and prepared for the off-season, ready to be brought back into service when camping season rolls around again.

Because at Latibule Resort, we take care of the little things, the big things, and yes… even the outhouse things! 🤣🌲

The campers may be gone, but the to-do list is still full!

🌲😂 TELL ME YOU OWN A SEASONAL CAMPGROUND WITHOUT TELLING ME YOU OWN A SEASONAL CAMPGROUND…

🥤 Today's episode: The Snack Shack is officially CLOSED!

Well… we didn't post yesterday because apparently, running a seasonal campground doesn't come with a social media department. 🤣🙋‍♀️

But we're back! And today's behind-the-scenes reveal is our little Snack Shack. ❤️

During camping season, it's a handy little stop where guests can pick up hot or cold beverages, prepared meals, snacks, firewood, ice, camping essentials, and Latibule merchandise.

Forgot something? Need a quick snack? Want a cold drink without leaving the campground? We've got you! 🙌

But when the season comes to an end, our little hub of convenience closes its doors, too.

Time to pack things up, check supplies, clean, organize, store, and get everything ready to do it all over again next season.

Because apparently, even the little shop that keeps everyone stocked up needs its own end-of-season routine! 😂

It's another one of those things guests get to enjoy during their stay without necessarily thinking about everything that goes into opening it, stocking it, maintaining it, and closing it down.

And honestly? We love being able to offer those little conveniences that make camping just a bit easier and a stay at Latibule feel a little more like home. 🌲❤️

So, the Snack Shack is taking its winter break… but don't worry, it'll be back when we open for another season of camping, campfires, cold drinks, snacks, and making memories!

The campers have gone home, the Snack Shack is closed, and our off-season to-do list just keeps growing. 😂

Who's already looking forward to next season's Snack Shack stops? 😉👇

🌲😂 TELL ME YOU OWN A SEASONAL CAMPGROUND WITHOUT TELLING ME YOU OWN A SEASONAL CAMPGROUND…

🎯 Today's episode: The outdoor games are going into hibernation!

Chess ♟️ Horseshoes 🧲 Beanbag toss 🎯

All those little things that give our campers something fun to do, bring out a little friendly competition, and create memories between lazy afternoons and evenings at Latibule Resort. ❤️

When the season is in full swing, they're out, ready to be enjoyed.

But when the campers go home? Time for their off-season routine! 😂

Collect them, clean them, check them over, and pack them away until next season.

Because apparently, even the fun has a closing checklist! 🤣

It's one of those behind-the-scenes jobs most people never think about. You see the games ready to play; we see one more thing that needs to be gathered up, cleaned, checked, and stored before winter arrives.

And we'll do it all again next year, because those little extras help make a stay at Latibule that much more enjoyable.

What a privilege to be tired from caring for the little things that make a place special. ❤️🌲

The campers have checked out, but we're still playing the game… the end-of-season game, that is! 😉

🇨🇦🌲 TELL ME YOU OWN A SEASONAL CAMPGROUND WITHOUT TELLING ME YOU OWN A SEASONAL CAMPGROUND…

Today's episode: The flag has come down.

Every spring, when we open Latibule Resort, we raise our Canadian flag to welcome a new camping season. 🇨🇦

And every fall, when the season comes to an end, it's time to bring it back down.

One of those little end-of-season tasks that might not cross your mind when you're packing up your campsite and heading home. 😂

But for us, it's another sign that the campground is settling in for winter.

The sites are quiet, the campers have gone home, and the to-do list is still going strong!

There's something a little bittersweet about putting a season to rest. So many memories made, so many moments shared, and another summer that somehow flew by far too quickly.

But don't worry… this isn't goodbye! 😉

We'll be right back here in the spring, raising that flag again and getting ready to welcome everyone back to Latibule.

Until then, the flag is down, the work continues, and next season is already on our minds. 🌲❤️

Because tell me you own a seasonal campground without telling me you own a seasonal campground… even the flag has an opening day and a closing day! 😂🇨🇦

🌲😂 TELL ME YOU OWN A SEASONAL CAMPGROUND WITHOUT TELLING ME YOU OWN A SEASONAL CAMPGROUND…

✨ Today's episode: The decor that makes it feel like Latibule.

You know all those little decorative touches that make a place feel warm, welcoming, and just a little more special? ❤️

The seasonal decor, the pops of colour, the little details that bring a space to life and make guests smile…

When it's all set out, it elevates the feel of the whole place. It's part of creating that welcoming atmosphere we want people to experience when they arrive at Latibule Resort. 🌲

But when the season ends? Well… apparently, the magic comes with a maintenance schedule. 😂

Now it's time to collect it all, wash it, inspect it for damage, decide what can be used again, figure out what needs repairing or replacing, and carefully pack it away until next season.

Because apparently, even the decorations need an off-season! 🤣

And you know we'll be pulling it all out again next year, because those little details matter. They help turn a campground into a place that feels cared for, a place people remember, and a place they're happy to return to.

What a privilege to be tired from caring for the little things in a business we once dreamed of building. ❤️

The guests may be gone, but the work of making Latibule feel like Latibule never really stops!

🌲😂 TELL ME YOU OWN A SEASONAL CAMPGROUND WITHOUT TELLING ME YOU OWN A SEASONAL CAMPGROUND…

The campers have gone home, the season has officially wrapped up, and most people are thinking about cozy evenings, fall colours, and getting ready for winter.

Meanwhile, we're already working on NEXT season. 🤣

Welcome to our little end-of-season series, where we'll share one picture a day of the behind-the-scenes jobs, unexpected tasks, and slightly ridiculous realities of owning a seasonal campground.

From cutting firewood for years down the road to mountains of winterizing supplies, furniture makeovers, and the things nobody ever thinks about when they're enjoying their camping vacation…

There's a whole other side to campground life that happens long after the last camper pulls out!

Some jobs are satisfying, some are downright funny, and some make you wonder what you got yourself into. 😂

So, follow along for a little end-of-season fun, a peek behind the scenes at Latibule Resort, and a reminder that while our guests get to relax, somebody has to make sure there's a campground ready and waiting when they return!

Day 1 starts tomorrow… or whenever we find a spare minute between jobs. 😉🌲

And if you own a seasonal campground, you already know… there's no such thing as being finished for the season!

Here we are… one month later. 🍂🌲

And just like that, we're in October.

The greens of summer are giving way to autumn's colours, the air feels a little crisper, and our 2026 camping season is drawing to a close.

Same spot. Same view. Another month of change. 💚

From Opening Day's bare branches to summer's full canopy, we've watched this little corner of Latibule transform one month at a time.

Now, we're capturing the final chapter of the season before the campground settles in for winter.

Nature never stands still… and neither do the memories we make along the way.

Thanks for being part of our journey. Until next season, there's always a little piece of Latibule to carry with you. 🍁

🍂 Thanksgiving has a way of inviting us to slow down, look around, and appreciate the things that make life meaningful.

Over the years, we realize more than anything, we're grateful for the people who make Latibule what it is. ❤️

For every guest who chose to spend a little of their life here. For the families who made memories, the couples who found time together, the friends who gathered around campfires, and the familiar faces who returned to make this place part of their traditions.

Every reservation represents someone choosing to spend their time here. And that choice means more to us than you might realize.

You see, Latibule means a place of refuge, a place to escape the world for a little while, to find comfort, and simply to be.

And while we can't promise that life will slow down when you arrive, we hope that somewhere between the morning mist rising off the lake, the crackle of a campfire, the laughter around a picnic table, or a quiet moment beneath the trees, you find a little of what you came looking for.

Maybe it's adventure. Maybe it's connection. Maybe it's a much-needed breath of fresh air. Or maybe it's simply the feeling of being somewhere you can exhale.

Whatever Latibule means to you, we're grateful you chose to find it here.

As we gather with our own families this Thanksgiving, we're reminded that the things we treasure most aren't always the grand gestures or the extraordinary moments. Often, they're the simple things we can overlook when life gets busy. The time spent together. The memories we carry home. The places that make us feel a little more like ourselves.

Thank you for choosing Latibule Resort, for sharing a little of your time with us, and for giving this place a purpose that reaches far beyond.

May your Thanksgiving be filled with good company, meaningful moments, and the kind of gratitude that makes you pause long enough to realize just how much you already have.

And wherever life takes you in the months ahead, may you always find a little place to slow down, reconnect, and simply be.

That's the heart of Latibule. And we're so grateful we get to share it with you.
Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours. ❤️ 🍂
