Congratulations to our very own Joshua Hornoi on taking home 1st Place at the 2025 HINO Canada Sales Skills Competition! 🇨🇦

Joshua was selected as one of six top finalists across all HINO dealerships in the country, and earned the opportunity to travel to Mississauga, Ontario to compete in the finals. Joshua toured the Hino production plant, took part in workshops, and put his sales skills to the test against the best in Canada. Joshua took home first place and earned the title of Canada's HINO Sales Skills Champion.

We were pleased to host Scott and Fabian from HINO Canada at our dealership last week, making it a great opportunity to commemorate Josh's accomplishment, show off the new hardware, and capture a special photo featuring all three generations of Sterling Truck & Trailer’s lineage: Sterling, Shawn, and Joshua Hornoi.

Congratulations again, Joshua! We are incredibly proud of this achievement!

It might fall on a Wednesday this year, but we’d like to wish everyone a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable fun Canada Day with family and friends! Even though the forecast is calling for rain (which it always is) we hope you're still able to get out and enjoy the day while celebrating our wonderful country!

Please note that all Sterling Truck & Trailer Sales locations will be closed on Wednesday, July 1st in observance of the Canada Day holiday. Even though the warm weather has started to roll in, we’re throwing it back to a snowier day to congratulate one of our long time customers Cassius Hancock of Hancock Trucking on picking up his brand-new full-service lease unit!

This beautiful new truck officially marks Cass’s third full-service lease unit here with us. Working together since 2017, we’re incredibly grateful for the trust and relationship we have been able to build over those years. As an independent owner-operator for Bickner Trucking LTD., Cass is always staying busy hauling loads across the province, that's why he continues to choose our full-service lease program. The weather may not have brought the sunshine, but that didn't stop us from kicking off summer with our first Team BBQ lunch of the season!

It's always great to bring together all our employees from surrounding locations for a lunch with great food, great conversations, and plenty of laughs. Even though the weather didn't get the "kick off to summer" memo, we were still able to fit everyone in while only making the bosses bare the weather to work the grill! We always love this kind of quick get-together as we believe its days like this that turn us all from co-workers to teammates, catching up after a long winter on everything in work and beyond.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the afternoon such a success. We’re lucky to have such an amazing team, and there’s no better way to start the summer than by bringing everyone together.

We've been incredibly fortunate to work alongside the CAA team, and we’re thrilled to provide a new HINO tow truck to support the important work they do across Saskatchewan.
