WANTED: Wrench Turner with Personality
Who We Are: Empire Auto Serviceβwhere old-school grit meets new-school tech. We're honest, home-grown, and occasionally smart-mouthed. We fix cars properly and have way too much fun doing it.
Who You Are: An experienced Tech or Apprentice (2nd-4th year) who knows your way around an engine and a tire machine. You've got tools, skills, and the confidence to use both. Bonus: We hook you up with killer tool discounts when you need to expand the collection.
Must speak English fluently (customer conversations are part of the gig sometimes).
The Gig:
β’ Diagnose, repair, maintainβyou know the drill
β’ Communicate like a human (with advisors, foreman, customers)
β’ Show up, work hard, don't be a jerk
β’ *Must own your own tools and know how to use βem
What You Get:
β’ Pay that matches your experience and skills
β’ Mon-Fri schedule with 4-day long weekends, summer early Fridays (7-3:30), and extra days off at Christmas
β’ RRSP & benefits
β’ A crew that actually likes each other
Apply: Tell us what you can fix and what makes you tick. Include a cover letter detailing your automotive repair experience and skills. Tell us what you can fix with confidence and convince us you're not a shop liability.

WANTED: Service Advisor/Parts Estimator (with opportunity for growth into Assistant Manager)
Empire Auto Service fixes cars and doesn't lie about it β a shockingly low bar this industry still manages to trip over.
The Gig:
You're the translator between customers who think "check engine light" is a suggestion and technicians who communicate in grunts and torque specs. Keep both sides informed, happy, and not plotting against each other (it's a big ask... we know). You will need to:
β’ Turn "it's making a noise" into an actual diagnosis
β’ Give honest prices without flinching
β’ Explain repairs without sounding like a used car salesman
β’ Manage a schedule that will get wrecked the second someone's transmission has other plans
β’ Keep customers updated so they stop self-diagnosing on Reddit
β’ Handle invoices and payments without losing your mind
What You Bring:
β’ Service Advisor/Writer experience preferred
β’ The ability to explain a serpentine belt to someone who thought it was a yoga pose
β’ Multitasking skills that survive two ringing phones and one challenging walk-in at once
β’ Basic automotive know-how β spark plugs are not optional!
β’ Comfort with shop software -- we use Protractor
β’ Valid driver's license
β’ Thick skin, sharper humor
What You Get:
β’ Pay that matches your experience and skills
β’ Mon-Fri schedule with 4-day long weekends, summer early Fridays (7-3:30), and extra days off at Christmas
β’ RRSP & benefits
β’ A crew that actually likes each other
β’ Coworkers who don't hate Mondays (or hide it well)
Apply: Tell us what makes you tick and why you want to spend your days questioning your sanity in a zoo full of monkeys (it's ok, we cage them at night). Include a cover letter detailing your experience and skills. Bonus points if your own car isn't a warning light away from becoming a planter, but we can help with that too!
