The Auto Loft is currently expanding and is seeking a full-time, permanent Vehicle Storage Lift (Hoist) Installation Technician to join our team.
This position is well-suited for a dependable and motivated individual interested in developing a career in the installation and servicing of automotive lifting equipment. While direct experience is not required, candidates must demonstrate a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and willingness to learn. Prior experience with vehicle hoists or similar mechanical systems will be considered a significant asset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install hydraulic vehicle storage lifts (car hoists) in accordance with manufacturer specifications, company procedures, and applicable safety standards
- Perform on-site service calls, including routine maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of installed hoist systems
- Assist in diagnosing mechanical and hydraulic issues and implement effective solutions
- Load, transport, and unload tools, equipment, and materials required for installations and service work
- Operate company vehicles safely, including pickup trucks and trailers when required
- Maintain accurate records of installations, service work, and equipment usage
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and organization of parts, tools, and inventory
- Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of the warehouse, including work areas, storage zones, and equipment
- Assist with receiving shipments, verifying inventory, and unloading shipping containers as needed
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety policies and procedures
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including frequent heavy lifting
Valid driver's license required
- Experience operating a pickup truck with an equipment trailer is a strong asset
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in car hoist installation, maintenance, or repair is considered a strong asset and highly valued
