OpenRoad Richmond Auto Body We have 7 locations; Richmond, Langley, North Vancouver, Coquitlam, White Rock & White Rock Express; and our newest location in Port Coquitlam!

Visit our website for more info! OpenRoad Richmond Auto Body is a third generation family business that has been in operation for over 60 years. That is what makes us different; we are able to provide you with a family-orientated customer experience while promising you state of the art facilities, equipment and technicians. Richmond Auto Body was founded in 1960 by Robert ‘Bob’ Lowe at the age of 25 under the slogan “Quality Above All Else”. After several years working as a body and paint technician, Bob knew he could make it on his own using his technical experience. His youngest son Randy joined the family business after high school and worked for years as an estimator before taking over as the owner/operator of Richmond Auto Body once Bob retired. Randy’s three children Scott, Emily and Megan all work for the family business in different capacities and are all involved in the business’s daily operations. We are proud to be one of the oldest collision companies in British Columbia and although we have grown immensely since our opening in 1960, our slogan for “Quality Above All Else” remains.

-1960: Richmond Auto Body opened on June 10, 1960
-1997: North Vancouver location opens
-Late 2000s: Richmond facility moves to its current location at No 5 and Bridgeport and expands to become one of the largest repair facilities in Western Canada
-Late 2000s: Partnership with the OpenRoad Auto Group
-2012: Langley location opens
-2015: Richmond Auto Body celebrates 55 years in the collision industry and is currently the most certified collision company in British Columbia.
-2017: Coquitlam location opens
-2020: White Rock locations open

Celebrating 35 Years of Partnership! 🎉

This year, we had the pleasure of celebrating a very special milestone with our friends at R-M — 35 years of partnership with OpenRoad Richmond Auto Body.

For three and a half decades, this partnership has been built on trust, collaboration, and a shared commitment to quality. From the early days with Randy Lowe to the continued growth and leadership of the next generation, we’re proud of the relationships and connections that have helped shape our business.

A huge thank you to the entire R-M team for 35 incredible years of partnership and support. We truly appreciate being part of the journey and look forward to many more years of working together!

Here’s to 35 years — and many more to come! 🥂🎉

Richmond Auto Body in partner with Color Compass Corporation is proud to sponsor Brock Leitner, a high‑performance athlete whose resilience and determination embody what it means to push beyond limits. Brock began riding dirt bikes at age three and turned professional in motocross by his mid‑teens, competing across North America until age 24. In June 2022, a life‑changing accident left him a T6 paraplegic – but not sidelined.

Following his injury, Brock redirected his competitive drive toward adaptive golf, a sport he has loved since his early teens. Through focus, adaptability, and relentless training, he has continued to compete at an elite level, proving that performance is defined by mindset, not circumstance. His achievements include 1st Place at the 2025 Canadian All Abilities Championship (Seated Division), 1st Place at the 2025 U.S. Adaptive Open Qualifier, and a 4th Place finish at the 2025 U.S. Adaptive Open.

Beyond golf, Brock remains highly active, competing in adaptive surfing and continually challenging himself to improve in all aspects of life. His positive attitude, work ethic, and commitment to excellence make him a powerful ambassador for adaptive sport.

In September, we brought together managers from all of our locations for a leadership retreat in Whistler.

The retreat balanced focused discussions with team-building activities, including axe throwing, ATV riding, and a vodka tasting experience in an ice room. It was a great opportunity to connect, share perspectives, and strengthen collaboration across teams.

Stepping away from day-to-day operations gave us the space to align on priorities and build momentum for the months ahead. We’re looking forward to continuing that progress together.

We’re proud to recognize our apprentices who recently represented us at Skills Canada!

Congratulations to Ahmed and Jin for their dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence throughout the competition. Opportunities like this highlight the next generation of talent in our industry.

We’re also lucky to have leadership that gives back to the industry—our Coquitlam manager, Nick Fusco, was part of the event as a judge, helping support the next generation of skilled trades.

Well done to everyone involved—we’re excited to see what’s ahead!
