Hwy 16 east and hwy 41 north

The road condition have changed in our area and the roads are slippery. There is reduced visibility as it’s had started to snow more. With the temperature dropping, it’s becoming icy on the roads after a wet day. People are driving slower as per usual.

Drive with care and please take your time.

❄️❄️Good morning everyone winter wonderland appeared overnight! ❄️❄️

The roads are wet. No ice currently. It is snowing so road conditions can always change. But other wise fine for driving. As we get more snow and the temperature drops you could except them to start and get slippery towards the evening.

🟡🟡We would also like to remind anyone driving . While there is dim light outside. it also stays darker for longer the mornings that you need to put your lights on. Especially when it’s snowing or raining. It makes it incredibly hard to see someone when they blend in with the scenery. 🟡🟡

Good afternoon everyone!

We are back with our road reports today. It’s our first taste of the Brrr months that are coming. 😬🥶❄️

It’s extremely windy and it has started snowing road still seem good as of right now. There not icy just wet. But as the storm continues that could change so use caution.

The snow has already started accumulating around here and especially towards elk island park headed to Edmonton. So if it’s a must to travel use caution as the road and weather conditions can always change fast. There have been report that people have slowed down to doing only 80km out that way. Hopefully this gives you some insight.

If you need assistance we are ready and able to give a hand just give us a shout!

We hope you stay warm and dry And most of of all drive safe! Hopefully this doesn’t last to long!

Please be advised this morning we are recovering a truck north on highway 41 between township road 513 and 512

Traffic will be slow moving around us as we are taking up a lane. There are a lot of moving parts and we have other working with us to clean it up as efficiently as possible and to get the highway back to normal pace.

Good morning! I wanted to remind everyone that it is the law to pull over for emergency vehicles with their lights and sirens activated.

After spending some time on Vancouver Island this summer and seeing how everyone there pulled over and stopped for emergency vehicles, it made me wonder whether drivers in Alberta don’t know the law or simply don’t care.

On my way back from a motor vehicle collision this morning, an ambulance travelling down Highway 16 with its lights and sirens activated approached from behind. I turned on my four-way flashers and started pulling onto the shoulder. The semi behind me then attempted to pass me, directly in front of the approaching ambulance. (And no, I did not suddenly slow down in front of the semi or expect them to stop abruptly.)

Please remember that pulling over for emergency vehicles isn’t just courteous—it’s the law. Those few seconds you save aren’t worth delaying emergency responders or putting lives at risk.

Today is the day we wait for all year long! It’s vermilion fair day one. It’s parade time @ 11am!!

Hey everyone it’s been a bit. Summer has everyone busy and out hopefully enjoying the sunny days in between the rainy ones!

Today is another race day for the lawnmowers in vermilion! Come check out our mower and all the other racers. Admission is free, come and watch to enjoy a family fun filled day!
