Many people don’t know this but Lauterbrunnen is one of the best places in the world for BASE jumping. If you’re walking through the valley, keep an eye out and you might see jumpers flying off the sides of the cliffs.

If you really want to see them, go to the parking lot at the bottom of the Stuckelberg to Murren gondola between 2pm-8:30pm. If it’s not super windy, you’re pretty much guaranteed to see people jumping off the cliff

Trockene Wälder, hohe Gefahr: Jetzt gilt ein Feuer- und Feuerwerksverbot 🔥🚫

Wenn die Waldbrandgefahr steigt, reicht oft schon ein einziger Funke für grosse Folgen. Genau das ist im Moment der Fall. Im ganzen Kanton Bern gilt deshalb ein Feuerverbot im Wald und in Waldesnähe, mit einem Mindestabstand von 50 Metern. Betroffen sind alle Feuerquellen, die einen Brand auslösen könnten.

Zusätzlich sind im ganzen Kanton Feuerwerk, Höhenfeuer und Himmelslaternen verboten. Das gilt auch über den Nationalfeiertag hinaus.

Wir bitten Sie um Rücksicht und Vorsicht, damit unsere Wälder geschützt bleiben.

Here’s a fun family friendly activity for ya!! Grindelwald’s First Cliff Walk 🤗 - no need to hike as the gondola takes you right there. But if you want a short, easy, but BEAUTIFUL hike, you can walk over to Balchalpsee Lake for a nice view and a swim 😊
