It was over a pint at the Grenadier pub, in London, that car enthusiast, adventurer, and INEOS Chairman, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, first identified a gap in the market for a stripped-back, utilitarian 4X4. That vision to build a no-nonsense off-roader engineered to overcome all conditions and withstand daily punishment is now a reality. The Spanish National Police has added 10 INEOS Grenadiers to its fleet, supporting Police Intervention Units to operate in demanding environments where mobility and reliability matter most.

From rural areas to mountainous regions, or environments affected by emergencies, the Grenadier will provide the ability for rapid responses and overcome obstacles that can be critical helping officers operate effectively and safely in challenging conditions.

The Grenadier was chosen for its capability straight off the factory line, requiring minimal modifications beyond operational lighting, sirens and security measures.

A legendary challenge. A 42-year-old record broken.

British adventurer and fine-art photographer John Balsdon has completed the 20,000km Cape to Cape road challenge in 28 days and 8 hours, beating the previous record by five hours.

Starting at Nordkapp in Norway and finishing at Cape Agulhas in South Africa, John and his five-strong team crossed 25 borders, two continents and some of the toughest driving conditions on earth.

Travelling in two Grenadiers, heavily loaded and with one towing an expedition trailer, the journey pushed both team and vehicles to their limits.

An extraordinary test of endurance, determination and capability on one of the world’s toughest long-distance routes.
