Saab Aero X Concept – the eternal dream of a supercar

When Saab unveiled the Aero X Concept in 2006, a murmur went through the motoring press. Saab, seemingly lulled into a semi-sleep by the Americans, appeared to be waking up. The Aero X was the last car one would have expected to come from Sweden. A supercar that was more than just a design study. Because it was fully drivable and not just a photo prop destined to disappear into storage after its presentation.

One million kilometers in the Saab 9-5 and ready for the next million!

A million kilometers is a number few cars reach. Most are scrapped, salvaged, and replaced with new cars much sooner. But a Saab is a Saab, and a Saab has always been a car built to last. The 9-5 also carries this longevity gene, even if, as a whole, it's nowhere near as robust as its predecessors.

One million sounds impressive, and the question is: What happens next? Will the Saab 9-5 go to a museum, disappear into a collection, or is it time to mercifully and tearfully dispose of it?

Car Utopias (2) – You can really order a new Saab

Saab enthusiasts are and always have been special. They are considered somewhat eccentric, sometimes difficult to understand, and they love their brand above all else. If the manufacturer disappears from their lives, they simply build their own cars. Since 2011, there have been replicas of the Saab 9-5 NG SportCombi, a creation known as the 9-5X, a Saab 9000 station wagon.

Saab 9000 CS history: In the end, a touch of sadness remains

Older cars have a history. And vintage Saabs usually have a particularly rich history, as they were often bought as long-term companion vehicles. The Saab as a kind of family member, owned for many years – that was the norm. The Saab 99 and 900 are typical examples of this. The 9000 is particularly noteworthy, as it represented a silent protest from customers who boycotted the switch to the sedan body style.

Wow! Saab 96L price cut

Germany, 1979. Saab immediately reduced the price of the "Swedish Volkswagen" 96 L by 2000 marks. Is this veteran still relevant today? This classic car can only be mentioned in the same breath as the VW Beetle: Since 1949, the Saab 96 has been built with an almost unchanged body, nearly 700,000 times – in its own way, a Scandinavian Volkswagen.
