As a supplier to the automotive industry, KIRCHHOFF Automotive develops and produces complex metal and hybrid structures for body-in-white and chassis that are lightweight, economical and crash-proof. Because the vehicles of the future - from electric to autonomous - also need bodies that ensure the greatest possible safety for all those involved in an accident in the event of an emergency. As a global player, we offer our customers in Europe, Asia and North America comprehensive know-how in the areas of economical lightweight construction and crash performance. With the advanced technology of partial press hardening, KIRCHHOFF Automotive is able to produce steel products with different strength ranges and thus weight- and crash-optimized body components. Many car manufacturers today have complex structural parts for the body-in-white made in hybrid design - Combinations of steel-aluminum or metal-plastic - developed by us and manufactured worldwide. A global production network with the core technologies of forming, joining, lightweight construction and surface treatment ensures uniform manufacturing and production standards. Products such as crash management systems, front-end frames and cross-members are assembled into a wide variety of components in JIT plants in close proximity to customers. The family-owned company, which has existed since 1785, is part of today's KIRCHHOFF Group, which is made up of the Automotive, Ecotec, Mobility and WITTE Tools divisions. With more than 8,000 employees and 27 production plants in 11 countries, KIRCHHOFF Automotive represents the largest division in the group.

🚗⏰ 20 years of IZB. 20 years of conversations, technologies and new ideas.

In 2006, KIRCHHOFF Automotive exhibited at the International Suppliers Fair (IZB) in Wolfsburg for the first time.

What started as another opportunity to meet customers and industry representatives has since become an important platform for technology, innovation and personal exchange.

Now, in our 20th anniversary year at IZB, we are taking the next step. Under the motto “Engineered for Your Needs”, our 2026 appearance is all about solutions tailored to different technical and economic requirements:

🤝 Together, we wear pink!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and across KIRCHHOFF Automotive, our teams are helping to put an important topic in the spotlight: breast cancer awareness, prevention and early detection.

Our colleagues across North America and Mexico are supporting the month with initiatives that go far beyond simply wearing pink.

They are creating opportunities to learn, take preventive action and support organisations working with people affected by breast cancer.

🎀 Pink Out activities bring colleagues together and create visibility
📚 Educational initiatives provide information about prevention and early detection
🩺 Screening opportunities include ultrasound examinations and mammograms at our Mexican locations
💗 Fundraising activities support organisations including the CURE Foundation and the American Cancer Society

Different locations, different activities, but one shared message: awareness matters. Knowledge matters. Early detection matters.

👀🔧 Discorver SIBORA next Generation at IZB!

Next week, KIRCHHOFF Automotive will be at IZB to present innovations designed around the specific requirements of modern vehicle structures.

Under the motto “Engineered for your needs”, we are showcasing the next generation of Silicon-Boron steel (SIBORA). The technology combines high strength with improved corrosion protection and enables locally adapted component properties for different requirements within the vehicle.

One highlight is our crash management system made from SIBORA with different strength levels. By using one material grade for the bumper beam, crash boxes and baseplates, the individual components can be specifically engineered for their respective function and desired crash behaviour.

🛡️ Zinc and AlSi coating concepts for improved corrosion protection
💪 Strength levels from 800 to 2,100 MPa
🚗 Targeted energy absorption for optimised crash performance

📖🌳 Our Sustainability Report 2025 is now available!

For the sixth consecutive year, KIRCHHOFF Automotive is reporting on developments, activities and key figures related to Environment, Social and Governance (ESG).

This is also our third report prepared in accordance with the European Reporting Standards (ESRS), providing information on ESG-related activities, policies and performance indicators across our organization.

Over the past year, we continued to further develop our ESG management processes and reporting activities, with measures related to employee development, environmental management and supplier-related due diligence processes.

These topics remain central elements of our ESG strategy and reporting framework. Highlights covered in the report include:

🌱 Activities related to greenhouse gas reduction, electricity consumption and the sourcing of renewable electricity
♻️ Measures related to material use, waste management and recycling activities
🤝 Information on compliance, governance structures and business conduct policies

🇵🇱📊 From the Shop Floor to the Data Behind It

Crashy is back on the road, discovering the people and processes that keep KIRCHHOFF Automotive moving.

This time, he joined Robert in Mielec, Poland. As Analytical and Operational Team Coordinator, Robert and his team help turn data into insights that support daily operations across the plant.

During his visit, Crashy explored production areas, learned how key performance indicators help drive decisions, and got an up-close look at the impressive 1,500-ton ARISA transfer press.

But there was plenty to discover outside the plant, too. Robert showed Crashy around Mielec, including the city's football stadium, local landmarks, and even a plane cockpit, where Crashy got to feel like a pilot for a day.

Thanks, Robert, for giving Crashy a behind-the-scenes look at life in Mielec and the people who make the location special!

🏭🎉 Celebrating 25 Years of Aurora!

This week, we celebrated a major milestone: 25 years of our Aurora plant.

Employees, customers, community partners, and leaders from across our organization came together to recognize the journey that has shaped Aurora into an important part of KIRCHHOFF Automotive's North American manufacturing network.

Throughout the day, guests had the opportunity to experience different parts of the celebration:

🎶 Live cultural performances and music
🏭 Facility tours through our manufacturing operations
🍰 A celebratory cake-cutting with employees and guests
🍁 Canadian-inspired food, gifts, and hospitality

Since production began in 2001, the plant has grown through innovation, strong partnerships, and the dedication of its people.

So the celebration was a chance to reflect on Aurora's history, connect with long-standing partners, and recognize the people behind the plant's success.

Congratulations to the entire Aurora team on this remarkable milestone!
