Becoming… a Game Changer.

I am Dominic and I work in Product Controlling for Drive Systems at Mercedes-Benz. My focus is on battery electric drivetrains, where I am responsible for steering the cost performance of all electric model series. Using commercial data from batteries and electric motors, we shape complete drive systems that support long-term product decisions.

My role brings together many perspectives. I analyse different concept alternatives align project steering and consolidate business case views for electric architectures. In addition, I provide management-ready recommendations for strategic decisions in the powertrain – always based on development costs and the economics of the final product.

One career highlight that still stands out was a one-week trip to Beijing, China, early in my career. The cultural impressions and experiences made a lasting impact on me.

What makes me proud is seeing the vehicles we helped shape driving on the road. Recently, I have even been able to drive the new electric CLA myself – and every time, I am reminded of how strong the result is and how much potential electric mobility holds for Mercedes-Benz.

My journey at Mercedes-Benz started with a Dual Studies programme in International Business, followed by roles in product calculation, development controlling at Mercedes-AMG and now my current position. Each step has helped me grow, broaden my perspective and deepen my passion for shaping the future of mobility.

What excites me about the future? Being part of the transformation towards electric vehicles and actively contributing to the next chapters of the Mercedes-Benz story.

Inspire – Your Journey of Growth

A special milestone for our Inspirees: after 14 months of learning, growth and shared experiences, they celebrated the successful completion of their journey together.

At the closing session, talents, key learnings and shared experiences came together once more.

During the event they reflected on their experiences, shared knowledge and looked ahead with a clear focus on the future. From entrepreneurial thinking and individual career paths to applying new skills in everyday work, the programme has helped participants grow both personally and professionally.
„Inspire – Your Journey of Growth“ is Mercedes-Benz’s international top talent programme for graduates and young professionals with up to three years’ professional experience. Over a period of 14 months, the programme focuses on personal development, future skills and modern leadership approaches.

More than a talent programme, Inspire is about empowerment, new perspectives and building a strong international network for the future.

Becoming… a Visionary.

I’m Vivien-Kathrin – and I love the moment when an idea turns into a real driving experience.

In my role, I guide the integration of Mercedes-Benz Operating System into the new S-Class. I coordinate software integration, align timelines, and make sure every area – from development to documentation, production and sales – moves together.

My journey at Mercedes-Benz started with a dual study programme in Automotive and IT, which included inspiring rotations across engineering, logistics and pre-development. After graduating, I continued in chassis innovation, before taking on the opportunity to lead projects for the new S-Class. One moment that truly stayed with me was when I joined the company into the company after university. I immediately had the feeling that I was exactly where I belonged.

Another highlight is the opportunity to contribute to the evolution of the S-Class itself. Being part of that team makes me incredibly proud.

In my private life I love to plan trips, meet friends or cook at home. This gives me the balance I need to stay energised and creative.
