Automotive Maintenance Engineer

Job role
As an Automotive Maintenance Engineer, you will be the primary point of contact for our customers, responsible for providing excellent customer service and managing the entire vehicle repair process. You will accurately diagnose vehicle issues, provide clear repair estimates, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify repair needs.
· Utilize diagnostic equipment to accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
· Consult with technicians to determine the most effective repair solutions.
· Create detailed work orders, including parts and labor costs, and obtain customer approval.
· Update work orders as needed to reflect changes in the repair process.
· Order necessary parts and supplies to ensure timely repairs.
· Communicate effectively with technicians, service managers, and other team members.
· Coordinate with the parts department to ensure timely delivery of parts.
· Keep customers informed of repair progress and potential delays.
· Inspect completed repairs to ensure high-quality services.
· Address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly.
· Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
· Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, repair orders, and invoices.
· Prepare and submit required reports.
· Ensure compliance with workplace safety and health policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Mechanical Engineering, preferred Automotive Engineering
- 3-5+ years of experience in automotive service or a related field, preferred experience in BMW & MINI cooper cars.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostic tools and software.
