Another Mazda 5-speed gearbox conversion is underway in our workshop, this time for a V8-powered MG BGT.

It's easy to see why this upgrade has become one of our most requested modifications. The Mazda gearbox delivers smoother shifts, improved reliability, and more relaxed cruising, transforming the driving experience without compromising the character of your MG.

Demand continues to grow, with another 10 gearboxes on the mezzanine allocated for installation on customer cars.

Supplied and fitted from £6,000 & Suitable for a range of MG applications, including MGA, MGB, and MGB V8.

It's not always full Factory Edition restomods...

This B GT V8 has been with us for a few months for a big list of upgrades!

The car was a little tired, burned a lot of oil, had engine and gearbox oil leaks, misfires, unpredictable suspension and a very clunky LT77 gearbox.. (the list goes on).

It leaves us with the following:

- A fully rebuilt 3.9L engine with over 200hp
- A Holley carburettor and RV8 exhaust manifolds
- Alloy radiator and high-power fan kit
- A Mazda 5-speed transmission
- Adjustable electronic power steering
- A fully rebuilt Frontline crossmember, including polybushes and our telescopic front damper kit.
- 5-Link rear suspension kit
- Four new Bridgestone tyres
- Restomod headlights
- A new Webasto sunroof with Mohair top and Alcantara internals
- A retrim of 80% of the interior including bespoke carpets
- Our sound and heat insulation package
- Apple CarPlay

The owner is looking forward to having confidence in the car for the first time since they purchased it. This B now covers ground effortlessly, and feels less like a tired classic, and more like a true sports car. The interior work has made for an elegant and luxurious cabin which is a joy to spend time in.

There are no bounds to colour choice when you commission your Frontline MG, which can sometimes leave you spoiled for choice...

For this Frontline owner, the decision was very easy. British Racing Green is the cars original colour, and with family ownership spanning three generations, preserving the factory colour was the obvious choice.

This freshly painted BGT now enters the assembly phase and will be equipped with all new underpinnings, including our popular Mazda powertrain.
