Here's a story that perfectly explains why we do things the way we do.

We recently had a customer contact us with a Fiat Ducato motorhome suffering from a Comfortmatic transmission problem.

They had already been through quite an ordeal trying to get it repaired.

🔧 They struggled to find a garage locally willing to take the job on.

🔧 They eventually found one, but unfortunately the problem was misdiagnosed.

💷 Another garage quoted them a staggering £5,000 to repair it!

Thankfully, before committing to that bill, they found Midnight Autos Ltd online.

We arranged for their motorhome to be recovered to our workshop, where our experience with these transmissions meant we were able to identify the actual fault straight away.

The problem was diagnosed correctly, repaired and the customer informed.

And here's the best bit…

The customer was so delighted to discover they'd saved THOUSANDS OF POUNDS that they decided to treat their motorhome to some additional maintenance while it was with us!

I'm not interested in seeing how much money we can extract from every customer who walks through our doors.

I'm interested in diagnosing problems correctly, repairing vehicles properly and charging a FAIR price for the work we carry out.

Of course, running a garage isn't cheap. We have specialist equipment, years of experience, staff, overheads and constant investment in training and technology.

But there's a big difference between charging fairly for specialist knowledge and taking advantage of someone who has very few other options.

A bit of Midnight Fiat Comfortmatic exitment.
We do a lot of these, but it still amazes us what we find sometimes. This particular motorhome has had the incorrect fluid in the hydraulic system amoung a few other issues. The black fluid in the taller jug is actually Dot 4 brake & clutch fluid, which is clear when new. It's starting to come out clear after flushing almost 1ltr of fresh Dot 4.
Still got a bit to do before road test.
