Martin Westwell started at 16, building engines for Peugeot Talbot. Thirty-eight years of building and tuning engines later, he owns and runs Pendle Performance. This is using the Bosch MD1CS104 Engine Control Unit.

Full health check, pre-tune dyno run, Pendle custom calibration, then post-tune dyno runs and testing - all on our Maha MSR500 dyno here at PendleHQ.

Standard Power - 161bhp & 351Nm
Pendle Tuned Power - 228bhp & 467Nm

That's 67bhp and 116Nm more.

Engine + gearbox tuned.
With the DSG gearbox it gets the full torque.
Torque now held strong and flat right through the rev range.
Smooth delivery, drivetrain and DPF safe.

PREVIOUSLY LOCKED. NOW UNLOCKABLE.

The 150 DSG is the most popular T6.1 we see. The DSG gearbox takes the full torque, so the calibration delivers everything the engine has, smoothly, across the full rev range.

This 2024 T6.1 150 DSG on our dyno:
Standard Power - 155.8bhp & 350.1Nm
Pendle Tuned Power - 215.5bhp & 461.7Nm

People spend a lot of money on these Transporters - they're their pride and joy. My job is to completely transform the drivability. Smoothness, progressive torque delivery, reliability, effortless pulling down the road across the full rev range with no flat spots - ironing out the factory software. It's not about making a boy racer of it, it's about the driving experience. Pulling out of junctions smoother, round town smooth, then on the open road stretching its legs and pulling right across the rev range.

There is now an unlocking process for the Bosch MD1CS104. The ECU comes out of the van and is shipped to our specialist unlocking partner in Belgium, then it comes back ready to be custom tuned on the Maha MSR500 dyno here at PendleHQ. Allow a week to a week and a half for the complete job.
