So my customer just collected her 2 week old Omoda 9, which had had an unfortunate meeting with a deer. It was quite a job, probably the toughest I've taken on this year at least. (I'll try to post video or pictures of the before and after in the comments...) It actually took me 3 days to do it! I'd promised to do my very best with it, but that I didn't expect to get it back to 100% original condition. They seemed really nice, genuine people and I wanted to help them out. I said I'd get it to a point where if someone hasn't seen it, they'd happily walk around the car and not spot it. I'm confident that I'd achieved that, even exceeded that, but you can never tell how a new customer is going to react. We just tell the truth, do our best and hope it's good enough. When she came back with her husband to collect it, I was hoping they would be happy with the results, and they were both surprised by how good it looked and almost emotional because she thought she'd have to live with her 2 week old car being imperfect.
Before they left, they presented me with a lovely tin of shortbread, with, no less, a picture of a Deer on the lid!
Brilliant! Don't you just love a happy ending! 🤗

Something little different that I thought some of you may find interesting...
Just saw these photos come up on my "on this day back in history" feed. I was working in Eindhoven some years back at a Tesla Body Shop. Really nice people and a great palce to work. They had a Model S in there with all the bodyshell stripped off it, down to its bare chassis. Not every day you get to see something like that!
The battery would be fixed under the frame you see there in the pics and the motor on that one, just drives the rear wheels.
