Salary sacrifice and car subscription: how can they work together?

Under a salary sacrifice arrangement, an employee gives up part of their gross salary and their employer provides a car in return. The tax and National Insurance position depends on the car and the individual, and Benefit-in-Kind applies.

Where a Cocoon subscription can help:
• New starters and probation periods, before a long-term car is in place
• Bridging the wait for a new car to arrive
• Short-term or project roles where a multi-year agreement doesn't fit

Every scheme is different, so speak to your payroll or tax adviser. Talk to us about the cars. Link in the first comment.
