This pair of rally veterans were entrusted to Kingsbury Racing Shop to be thoroughly readied for the challenge, with all the work being turned around in almost record time - we will pull out the stops to hit your deadlines. The deadline for these two was a ship departing for the southern hemisphere where they will take part in the Gaucho Motor Trail.

It is an 11,000km, 28-day vintage rally that passes through five South American countries and shares trails with past WRC and Dakar stages. Needless to say, if you're tackling such an event in a 100-year-old car, preparation is key.

So, whether you're planning a rally entry of your own, or simply want a vintage car you can truly rely upon, contact Kingsbury for expert treatment.

Our operations director Lewis Fox has not only helped implement systems and more rigorous planning since joining the Kingsbury Racing Shop team, he has used his race-winning experience to test and improve clients' cars.

The current Bentley Drivers Club Driver of the Year, Lewis possesses engineering expertise, exceptional mechanical sympathy and proven speed on track, enabling him to play a key role in the development and optimisation of a wide variety of competition cars.

He has battled in the ex-Schnitzer BMW E30 M3, clinched a podium in a 1913 Peugeot Indianapolis and won in a pre-war Bentley.

Not all Bentley 3-4 1/2 Litres are British Racing Green.

This eye-catching short chassis tourer is currently having a thorough Kingsbury Racing Shop service and recommission with a quick turnaround. It was badly needed as we found a number of safety-critical faults, including cracked and broken brake components, plus the regular issues and annoyances of a car that has sat idle for some time.

Talk to us about getting your car back on the road so you don't miss another summer without enjoying it.

A force to be reckoned with on the Hero Era Rally and a favourite at Itineris Events circuit, this evocative 1937 Frazer Nash-BMW 328 visited the Kingsbury Racing Shop for a repair to its rear half shaft. A failed outer bearing was carefully removed before new bearings were pressed in. A spirited test drive Bicester Motion track was the ideal way to ensure everything was perfect.

Frazer Nash established themselves as a successful competition car manufacturer prior to also becoming importers of BMW cars in the 1930s, selling 48 RHD 328s. During the 1930s, 2.0 litre, six-cylinder 328s topped their class at Le Mans, the Spa 24, the Tourist Trophy, and won the 1940 Mille Miglia outright.

We were delighted to get this one back on the road where it belongs.

Kingsbury Racing Shop's precision machining department has been busy producing parts for both our stores and clients within the motorsport industry.

The items in the first image are differential cages for pre-war Bentleys. Initially we made these for a client's car, and took the opportunity to make more for our own stock.

The black anodised items are disc brake bells for a 21st century Maserati GT3 LMP2 racer, built roughly 90 years after the Bentleys we're best known for.

Our exacting machinists are trusted by companies up and down Oxfordshire's Motorsport Valley, and beyond, to create one-offs and limited runs.

The Kingsbury Racing Shop has no shortage of special visitors, but the presence of this Alfa 6C Gran Sport Spider certainly put a spring in all our steps during its short stay.

This was another case of a beautiful car not running as well as it should, but we have remedied that. It is booked for a session on a rolling road, to fine tune the fuelling further still. Keep following the Kingsbury feeds for some film of the 6C in action, because it really does sound delicious.

The owner of this stunning Bentley 8 Litre brought it to Kingsbury Racing Shop because he was unhappy with how his recent acquisition was running. This model boasts the ability to accelerate from 10mph to 100mph, in fourth gear. We discovered the twin carbs' choke linkage had been set up incorrectly, which we cured before precisely tuning everything to achieve the seamless roll-on that W.O Bentley was proud of.

The 8 Litre is the last wholly new model of W.O's era, and an elegant car that differs greatly from its predecessors. Its development costs are blamed by some for hastening the end of that incarnation of Bentley, though being launched at the time of the Wall Street Crash won't have helped. It is also regarded at the founder's masterpiece.

This example is a 'short chassis' which formed just 35% of the 100-strong 8 Litre production run. It has a Mayfair Carriage Company coupe body, which we believe this is the only 8 Litre example, and it is reputed to be the penultimate car W.O Bentley's company produced.

More from the recent Vintage London Rally when the Kingsbury Racing Sisters took the family Bentley, and some friends, for a lap or two of central London with a fleet of likeminded pre-war car owners for the Dawn Rally. It was a wonderful sight (but only for the earliest of risers, or latest of revellers).

Let Kingsbury Racing Shop ensure your pre-war gem is thoroughly prepared for the next rally.
