The racing season is nearly over, and now is the ideal time to schedule repairs, rebuilds and preparation for 2027. Let's talk about solving niggles and making improvements to avoid a last-minute panic.

This 1998 Nissan Primera BTCC Super Tourer has been a welcome visitor to the Kingsbury Racing Shop for the last few weeks, coinciding with the most recent Scramble. We also transported it to Anglesey for a track day, and were on hand to keep levels topped up and carry out anything else that was required.

Anthony Reid was second in the BTCC Driver's Championship in 1998, and Nissan would go 1-2 the following season.

We made these Klaxon horn brackets for Bentleys when a customer's had broken. The originals would have been sand-cast 100 years ago, and are now impossible to find.

These are CNC-milled by the Kingsbury Machine Shop from solid wrought bar. We precisely mill the original debossed logo, then vapour-blast them to ensure they look more like the original component. It would easily fit in the palm of your hand.

The recent Benjafield 500 vintage endurance race forced the Kingsbury Racing mechanics to show their skills under pressure.

During the eight-hour race at Estoril, Portugal, the Kingsbury Racing Sisters suffered a water pump failure which resulted in a stripped cross shaft. Thanks to a huge effort by the team the car was repaired and back on track to complete more laps and, crucially, was able take the flag.

True to the maxim that racing improves the breed, we will soon be producing our own, superior quality water pump bodies to complement the upgraded internals we already produce.

Kingsbury Racing's operations manager Lewis Fox partnered with Gregor Fiskens, founder of Fiskens.
They were behind the wheel of 'DD', Kingsbury's renowned 1924 4.5-litre racing car. In a field of 27 Bentleys, they won the 'scratch' element of the eight-hour race (which is run as a handicap format), completing 185 laps of the Estoril circuit. They finished comfortably ahead of the second place car, which was also a Kingsbury-prepared machine.

The race was an extension of the Fiskens Cars and Kingsbury Racing friendship that has seen the Bicester-based specialists prepare a number of fine historic cars for Fiskens prior to their sales.

Thanks to all who visited the Kingsbury Racing Shop at today's busy Scramble. It was a treat to be able to show precision machining exhibitions in our machine shop, alongside a mixture of road, rally and racing cars that span a century of going fast in style.
certainly know how to put on a fun event.

This 1974 DFV-powered Chevron B27S will be on display at the Kingsbury Racing Shop at this weekend's Scramble, and it has a huge link to our operations manager, Lewis Fox.

When he first saw it, the car was fitted with a rotary engine and hidden in a truck for safe storage. Later, he worked on it as a teen and ran it at Silverstone 20 years ago.
He explains it's a B23 that is perhaps the only chassis of this type that was fitted with a 3-litre V8, converting it to B27S specification. It is believed to be the car that won its class in the last ever Targa Florio, in 1977.
The Chevron is at our workshop with thanks to Fiskens, who currently have it available for purchase. It’s amazing to have this car back with Lewis, considering it was somewhat of a stepping stone on his way to the world of F1 and now he and team are perfectly placed to support and prepare this legendary car for the next custodian.
