I chose this automatic driving school following my research online of instructors in my area and my expectations were certainly met. Shakir has been a very calm, patient, understanding and supportive instructor. He is very knowledgeable and has a great teaching style. He is always on time, never cancelled and has been professional throughout my driving journey. I passed first time at Shirley test centre with only 3 minors. I definitely recommend this driving school and Shakir as an instructor!!

Review by Dr Shariq:

I passed my driving test today on my first attempt at Shirley Test Centre, and I'm very grateful to Shakir Suleman for all his help.

He quickly identified the mistakes I was making and patiently helped me correct them. Throughout every lesson, he gave clear, honest feedback that improved my driving and increased my confidence.

Shakir is a strict but calm and highly skilled instructor. His disciplined approach helped me develop safe driving habits and prepared me well for the test. I appreciated that he focused on teaching me how to drive safely rather than just helping me pass the test.

He is very knowledgeable and experienced, and it's clear that he genuinely wants his students to succeed. And yes—the famous banana before the test certainly didn't hurt! 😊

Thank you so much, Shakir Saab, for all your guidance and support. I would happily recommend you to anyone looking for a dedicated driving instructor.

Congratulations to Frank on passing his driving test today at South Yardley Driving Test Centre in Birmingham on his first attempt with only 3 minors! 🎉🚗
Wishing him all the very best for the future. Frank has always been friendly, positive, and happy, making every lesson a pleasure. He will be greatly missed, but I am delighted to see him achieve this fantastic result.

Review by Frank:

“I cannot recommend Mr. Shakir highly enough. Thanks to his excellent instruction, I passed my driving test at South Yardley Test Centre in Birmingham on my first attempt with only 3 minors.
From the very beginning, Mr. Shakir paid attention to every detail and made sure I developed safe driving habits and a strong understanding of the road. He communicated clearly throughout every lesson, patiently guiding me through each step of the learning process. What started as a student-instructor relationship quickly grew into something more meaningful, he became a mentor and a friend.
Mr. Shakir is soft-spoken, calm, and incredibly encouraging. One of his favourite sayings was, “Frank, do the speed, your road is clear,” which helped me build confidence while maintaining good driving discipline. Even when I made the right decisions, he would still encourage me to improve and strive for excellence.
On the day of my test, he told me, “You are a good driver. Drive like you own the road.” Those words gave me the confidence and belief I needed to perform at my best. He accompanied me on test day, and his support played a huge part in helping me stay calm and focused.
If you are looking for an instructor who is professional, patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in your success, I wholeheartedly recommend Learn Auto and Mr. Shakir. They will help you pass not only with a licence but with the confidence and skills to be a safe driver for

Below is his review.

** I am sooo happy today, i can’t believe it, I passed my test at Kings heath driving test centre in Birmingham on my 1st attempt with 1 minor, all credit goes to my instructor Shakir, he is calm, knowledgeable and friendly who takes his job very seriously and tries his level best for the student to understand the observations, the rules of the road, road signs, and more and not only make you pass the test but also for a safe future driving.

I previously started with another instructor and had over 20 lessons but used to take me just around my house and then disappeared on me.

I would recommend Shakir to anyone who wants to learn automatic.

I am blessed to have found Shakir at the right time and got through my test on my 1st attempt within 4 weeks with him.
Thank you very much, God bless**
