Well that was a little bit of a frustrating day at the office in the 750 Motor Club - ClubEnduro…..
In qualifying the Gen1 Cupra TCR decide to not do car things and broke down on track and caused a red flag 🚩 meaning the if we could fix the car Rob Greenwood (driving solo) would start dead last…. The team found what we hoped was the issue and Rob plugged away coming from 29th to as high as 4th overall before pitting and coming back out in 8th place 🫶🫶😎😎
Sadly tho Lady Luck was not on our side as a shocked failed with 3 laps to go…. Rob was still classified 18th overall and 10th in class but definitely not what we came all the way to Anglesey for 😩😩
Then Paul Simmerson in his Porsche we were looking to build on Saturday’s Roadsport podium. As Paul settled into a good rhythm, seeing a car stopped on the side of the track he decided to pit in the hope we’d do some of our stop under a safety which we did, however number of cars where held at the end of the pit lane meaning we lost well over a lap to the cars we had been battling with. Paul still finished 7th overall but the result could have been better so much better.
