Here at Autowerks, we specialise in servicing, repair and maintenance to German vehicles, Audi, VW. Seat, Skoda, BMW, Mercedes, Bentley, Porsche

This is why unlike our competitors; we will get to the route of the problem as well as set about repairing it. We do not simply fit new parts and send you on your way, we’ll find out what went wrong in order to minimise the risk of it reoccurring. Any fi

tter with basic understanding of a car can fit a new part, but it takes a time-served mechanic to diagnose what caused the part to fail and how to stop it happening again. Our niche area in particular is in German vehicles although we do pride ourselves on our ability to repair, service and maintain all makes and models. Please give us a call for fast friendly advice.

😂 Sometimes you've just got to laugh... because if you didn't, you'd cry!

We've seen some worn timing belts over the years, but this one genuinely had less teeth than the local crackheads! 😳🤣

Jokes aside, this is exactly why manufacturers specify replacement intervals.

Those missing teeth aren't just cosmetic—they can cause the timing to jump, resulting in:
⚠️ Poor running
⚠️ Non-start conditions
⚠️ Bent valves
⚠️ Serious engine damage
⚠️ A repair bill that could run into the thousands

The scary part? Many timing belts look perfectly acceptable at first glance. It's only once we strip everything down that hidden wear like this becomes obvious.

A timing belt is one of those jobs that's easy to put off... until it puts your engine out of action.

If you're unsure when yours was last replaced, or you've recently bought a used vehicle with no service history, it's well worth getting it checked.

At Autowerks, we'd much rather replace a timing belt as preventative maintenance than have to explain why an engine now needs rebuilding.

📍 Don't wait until your timing belt starts auditioning for a comedy sketch. Book it in before it becomes an expensive punchline! 😅🔧🚗

It's been a long wait, but here we are again... England are in the Semi Finals! 🙌⚽

The last time England reached a major tournament semi-final, the whole nation came together. Homes, pubs, workplaces and garages were united by one thing... believing that football really could come home.
