You know what this is?

It’s a van. A white van.

The sort of thing normally driven by a man called Gaz who eats sausage rolls for breakfast and considers a traffic cone a legitimate parking assistant.

But this, the Citroen Berlingo Enterprise Plus 100ps Diesel, is surprisingly good.

The 100ps diesel engine won’t exactly set fire to the tarmac. You’re not going to challenge a Ferrari unless it is parked and on fire. But for real-world driving? It’s brilliant. Comfortable, smooth, and tougher than a nightclub bouncer in Doncaster.

Then there’s the “Enterprise Plus” bit, which sounds like a budget airline seating option, but actually means you get proper kit, touchscreen, parking sensors, air con, cruise control, all the things van drivers used to think were witchcraft.

It’s not glamorous. It’s not exciting. But as tools go, this is less rusty hammer and more Swiss Army knife.
