Lessons with an Excel Instructor focus on the pupil and the pupils needs, letting them take control of their learning and as a result making lessons more enjoyable and safer drivers on the road. All lessons are conducted at the pupils own pace and in a style that suits

🚗 Your First Drive Alone… 🚗

Passing your driving test is an incredible achievement, but for many people, the first drive on your own is when it really sinks in.

No instructor.
No examiner.
Just you, your car and the road ahead.

It’s completely normal to feel a little nervous. In fact, most new drivers do. The key is to remember that you passed because you’ve already shown you can drive safely and independently.

Here are a few tips for that first solo journey:

✅ Choose a route you know well.
✅ Avoid driving in a rush – give yourself plenty of time.
✅ Put your phone away and avoid distractions.
✅ If you feel overwhelmed, find somewhere safe to pull over, take a moment, and then continue.
✅ Trust your training and drive at your own pace.

Every experienced driver remembers their first drive alone. It’s the start of a lifetime of freedom, independence and new adventures.
