Lesson Structure
As you can imagine learning to drive and meeting today's standards is very different to even a few years ago. At first even making initial contact with the instructor is scary. After all, starting lessons is a big step but a necessary one to make. This is why its important we do things correctly. Lessons should be enjoyable and structured to get you to that prestigious test pass certificate as soon and economically as we can. I strive to teach you to drive in a safe responsible way, never letting you take your 'eye' of the goal of getting that 'test pass' and ideally passing first time. I offer regular 2 hour slots only. Planned lessons can always be changed to different time slots if necessary (24 hours notice is required). When we first speak i will find out your availability and try to plan your lesson on the same day and time each time. After all you do other things than learn to drive, don't you? You will receive my undivided attention, one to one driving tuition, and you will be the only pupil in the car. You will be picked up and dropped off at the end of your lesson anywhere within my working area (school, college, boyfriends etc) before I collect my next pupil. Syllabus
The syllabus involves driving in all kinds of traffic situations. You also need to learn manoeuvres: including Parallel parking, right hand pull up and reverse, front and rear bay parking, hill starts, and controlled stops etc. Each lesson we will target new topics. We will work through the syllabus logically at a pace that suits the way you learn. With regular structured lessons we endeavour to complete the syllabus as quickly as we can. At this point i will have encouraged you to have passed your Theory and Hazard awareness test. Once passed, we will already have a fair idea of your abilities and will discuss when to book your practical driving test allowing for the ever increasing waiting lists. Making sure we get the test when it suits us is very important as this allows you to plan in plenty of time, budget and prepare for that prestigious day. Once the practical test is passed, i will then offer you a range of other opportunities such as pass plus courses which can reduce your insurance by up to 30%

Fasttrak/Intensive
If you need to pass your test more quickly than normal this maybe the option for you. At Accelerate School of Motoring regardless of what level of experience you are, you will only do the amount of lessons you require to become a good safe driver and pass your practical driving test. No block booking payment is required / This is a pay as you go arrangement *. We have taken into consideration all of the D.S.A. barriers that restrict us passing quickly, i.e: we are controlled by the waiting lists and unlike many schools we will not promise something we cannot deliver.
*Lesson fees are paid at the time of the lesson (At the conclusion of the first lesson an extra payment of two hours in lieu needs to be made to cover for any 'non attendance by you' of any future pre-booked lesson. This seldom happens so this payment will remain in credit and used on the test day to cover the hour pre-test lesson and hire of the tuition vehicle for the purposes of your test. Initially we will plan a two hour assessment lesson. This is for the benefit of both parties. For you, to make sure you have made the correct decision about the school you have chosen and that all of your expectations will be met, and for us, to ensure we can meet those expectations. We will then mutually commit to either 2x two or 1x four full hours of tuition per week at regular times based on the normal hourly lesson rate at a time that mutually suits both parties. If extra lesson slots become available they will be offered to you to speed up the process even more. The lessons will be structured to suit your learning ability but never forgetting that we need to make you a competent driver and get you to that prestigious test pass as soon and as economically as possible.
