🚦Staggered Crossroads🚦

- Spread Eagle (Bury St.Edmunds)

This particular area can be very tricky it you dont take in what the road signs or road markings tell you.

When turning right & in the right lane, proceed when light is green until the dashed road markings & Red Sign. Here you give way to oncoming traffic.

There is only space for 2 cars in that section. If youre 3rd in line, wait behind the solid traffic light line so you dont get caught out in the cycle box if the lights change to red.

Once the oncoming traffic has stopped, move on from the give way. Even if the light is red, this is so you do not block the junction.

⭐️ You can pass ⭐️

A lot of learners walk into their test believing the examiner decides whether they pass or fail.

The reality?

The examiner doesn't make you pass or fail. Their job is simply to assess whether your driving meets the required standard on the day.

✅ Safe decisions
✅ Good observations
✅ Correct speed and positioning
✅ Awareness of other road users
✅ Consistent control of the vehicle

These are all things that come from your preparation and your actions behind the wheel.
The examiner isn't looking for perfection. They're looking for a driver who can drive safely and independently.

So instead of worrying about who your examiner is, focus on what you can control:

👉 Your attitude
👉 Your preparation
👉 Your concentration
👉 Your driving

When you trust your training and drive the way you've practised, you're giving yourself the best possible chance of success.

Your test. Your drive. Your result.

🏁 How you book your driving test is changing 🏁

Key National Changes Summarised;

No Third-Party Bookings: Only the learner driver can book/change tests from May 12, 2026.

Limited Changes: You can only make 2 changes to your appointment booking.

Cancellation Policy: 10 working days' notice is needed to cancel or reschedule without losing the fee.

Test Centre Restriction: From June 9, 2026, you can only move your test to one of the 3 nearest test centres.

Keep an eye on Gov website for future changes on how to book your driving test.
