☕ “Drinking whilst on a lesson? Not very professional is it!”

That was the comment left on a driving instructor’s video yesterday.

Now I’m curious…

If your driving instructor takes a sip of coffee during a 2-hour lesson, does it bother you?

Or is this just another example of people looking for something to complain about? 👀

Let’s hear both sides 👇

🚗 Honest question…

When you’re looking for a driving instructor, what’s most important to you?

💷 Price?
😊 Patience?
🏆 Pass rate?

Or is there something else entirely?

I’ve always found that what learners think they want and what they actually need can be two very different things!

Do you use shields on roundabouts?

I don’t just mean large vehicles like this, would you use a car or a motorbike?

When my learners get to a certain level, I won’t tell them to focus.

I’ll observe how they deal with distractions and step in if necessary.

Because I won’t be there next to them forever! Once they have a car full of friends, they need to be able to deal with that Ian’s to regain focus themselves

Experienced drivers usually we rely on our reactions if something goes wrong, for inexperienced learners it’s important to build those anticipation skills early on to promote safe driving for life

I’m just glad the door didn’t open 😅

There’s a difference between an asking and a telling signal.

If you have your signal on before you’re ready, the car letting you out may get frustrated and change their mind
