Another side quest for our mate RS Valeting
His Golf GTI had no heat from the inner heaters. Common issue on these due to the silica bags bursting in the expansion tank and blocking the heater matrix.
A good flush out managed to clear most of the blockage.
A new matrix and new tank with no silica packs will keep it all good going forward.
Look at the inside of the matrix 🤮 this was after washing it all through.
Refill with G12 coolant and all working perfectly again.

Hikaro’s DC5 was back for its annual service and MOT.
As always we gave the car a good check over, and noted the oil leak around the box had gotten allot worse than previously visits.
We quoted for a new clutch kit and crank seal, while the car was with us.
Customer gave us the go ahead, so we cracked on with it.

Never been a VW owner personally. But when a very good friend asks for help. I can’t say no.
Ross had some brake and handling issues with his beautiful MK2 Golf.
We got the car in and gave it a check over, where we found the front wheel bearings shot to bits.
We fitted new bearings, hub flanges, discs and pads.
Car all sorted and back to driving as it should.

Tom had his S2000 back with us for new discs and pads.
Another small detail that was letting the car down was the old rusty discs.
Some MTEC Brakes UK with groove and dimples finished in the black coating, made the brakes look a lot better behind the black wheels.
Tom also painted the calipers once he got the car back. So the calipers also looked fresh and clean.

Local customer had his Diesel Civic in for its annual service and check over.

Alex Alex Godfrey had his Odyssey in for its annual service and MOT.
A quick check over revealed a blown bottom ball joint, radiator cap failure and worn out rear pads.
This car does some mileage so wasn’t surprised in the worn parts. Nearly 20,000 miles since last years MOT.

Ann’s Delsol SIR was back for its annual service.
It’s also been 6 years since the last camblet change, so we also supplied and fitted a Genuine one.
This car is very well looked after and doesn’t cover many miles. But it still gets all the parts it needs at the correct intervals.
While we were checking the car over, we noticed the top coolant pipe had started to balloon, so fitted a silicon hose we had in stock.

Rachel’s CRZ was in for a few bits. New door handle, a common fault with the CRZ handles breaking. Proper fiddly job fit...

Proper fiddly job fitting these in 🙈
Rear brakes binding, pads were sticking in the pad shims, removed pads and shims, cleaned back and refitted.
Washer pump inoperative. New one fitted and lines/jets cleaned out.

Oil, oil filter, pollen and air filter this year.
New wiper blades
The car was suffering the battery going got in just a few days. So a quick test and it was showing to be bad.
We supplied and fitted a new battery.
The car failed MOT on a sticky rear caliper. We carry piston/seal kits in stock. So we took care of that and got the MOT retest sorted.
