This Ph1 graphite 1.9 GTi left us a while ago after a ground up restoration but we never had much time to post about it, to be honest I'd forgotten just how rotten she was, these are some of the early pictures from when she arrived, there's so many we'll have to post them in stages...

We get boll*cked by you lot all the time for not posting enough about what we have going on in the workshop so we're making an effort to keep you more up to date.

This diamond in the rough 106 Rallye was dropped off to us as a couple of months ago as a stalled project which needed finishing. We always start with the body and we found the usual rot in the usual places and some dubious previous repairs where the filler was into the tens of mm. 🙈 Not the first time we've found this, nor the last!

A bit of time on the spit in our fab shop and she's solid once again and epoxy primed underneath ready for seam sealer and Raptor before she's back on her wheel and off to paint.

Engine and box are all coming together too but we'll post pics of those separately.

Some preventative maintenance on these Proflex UK dampers today after a couple of events on the car.

Motorsport suspension is not fit and forget. Aside from accident damage, most early failures on dampers we see can be traced back to poor maintenance. A few hours cleaning every now and then will save thousands on premature rebuilds.

Pride of roaring Lions spotted on Mull! 🎶SOUND UP🎶 for Brett Sims and 3d Motorsport having a sound off with 2 sweet sounding group A engines.👌🏻

Well done Totty Towers Rallying Paul Clayton and Veera for completing your first Mull with only 1 minor incident despite swearing your never going back, (I'll ask you again in a week). 😜

Also congratulations Andy Hardiman and Rally Stig, you drove a blinder to secure your top 50 finish despite having to overcome some issues along the way 💪🏻

Also a mention to Kim Gray and Andy Gray who were on for a mega result if not for nursing some oil pressure issues late on. On merit you were fastest 205 on the Island👌🏻

SS9, How it started, and how it ended! 🙈

Slippy downhill lefthander. Cosmetic damage only crew OK just got beached. Recovery snatched out and we patched him up with the usual cable ties and duct tape and drove back to The Glenforsa Hotel for some scran and a checkover. Will be back out for the night stages. 💪🏻

Don't worry Brett Sims, the fence was rotten so the fluids stayed in and the engine survived! 😜

Another Island, another Epic rally. First time on Mull for us but what an epic atmosphere and the event hasn't even started yet! Theres a buzz in Tobermory this afternoon for scrutineering and all round the Island to be honest!

All credit to 3J Driveline , 4 stages and about 50 road miles on 1 driveshaft, that plated diff put a proper shift in today! Changed the shaft at service and Paul Clayton drove away with the diff still working. 👌🏻

Scratch built custom loom in progress for this historic eligible 205 GTi rally car we're building to the new challenge spec.

It's rare we get to start from scratch. Modifying/repairing existing looms is a hateful job full of compromises - this, on the other hand, is my happy place...
