Marks Studio 2 update, lots done this week , rotten section of step cut out and replaced, inner sill prepped and acid treated, new outer sill prepped, inner sill and in side the new sill zinc coated and welding surfaces weld through primed. Sill fitted and welds dressed . Rotten section of flitch panel cut out , new section made up and welded in , same with the shock mount , a panel lip removed and lip acid treated along with the scuttle closure . Sill and inner wing spot primed to stop flash rust .
Garage is now shut untill Tuesday as we are away for a long weekend.

Marks Studio 2 update . Started repairs on the boot floor this week . One corner had a tiny blow through into the boot over the subframe mount , once the mount was removed it was obvious there was a fair bit of rust under there , so the corner has been removed and a new section welded in . Took the decision to whip the other side off too to double check and it wasn't great so that side was also replaced along with 2 sections of the lip that had become quite pitted and thin .

Marks Studio 2 update, made a start on the bodywork this week , drivers door skin removed and the bottom of the frame cut out and replaced, new skin fitted . Door braces welded in , sills , rear valance and valance closures being unstitched.

Marks Studio 2 update. Shells back from blasting and i have to say its one of the best shells we have seen . It obviously needs a front end as that was scabbing so we removed it before blasting, but the scuttle and closures are mint , a couple of tiny repairs need doing to the inner wings but only very minor ( the inner wings are that good you can see the original date stamps on the panels!!!) . The sills are just starting to go so we will whip them off , treat underneath and put some new sills on , the floors look like new along with the rear bins and quarters. One step has a bit of a hole so we will cut that out and replace it . Boot floor is mint bar one tiny bit so the valance and closures are coming of to sort that and fit new ones in . All in all its really good . Marks dropped a load of the parts off so started stripping them down today ready for the powder coaters , and the shell has been loaded onto a spit .

One very Happy customer......Helen traveled up today with her husband Paul to collect her freshly finished Cooper Sport. Glad to say she absolutely loves it including the the updates and modifications, just had a message off her the little mini made it back to north wales not missing a beat and is already booked in for a local show this weekend.
