Red Rose Land Rover Club's flagship event returns for 2027 – bigger, better, and with an exciting new venue & date.

This time next year we will be heading to War of the Roses 2027.

Back with a new date, a fantastic new location, but with the same action-packed weekend that Land Rover & 4x4 enthusiasts have come to love. Whether you're competing, camping, or simply joining us for the atmosphere, there's something for everyone.

The War of the Roses Team Challenge
The highlight of the weekend returns!

Nine teams, six people per team, in three Land Rovers battle it out in the legendary War of the Roses Team Challenge—best described as The Krypton Factor meets a winch challenge.

With our brand-new venue comes completely new terrain, giving the competition a fresh start and presenting challenges nobody has tackled before.

Everyone's Welcome
Whether you're a long-time member, new to the club, or just curious about Land Rovers & 4x4s, we'd love to see you there. Spectators and visitors are always welcome, so come along, meet fellow enthusiasts, and experience what Red Rose Land Rover Club is all about.

Please note that a valid ALRC membership is required if you wish to camp, compete, or take part in any of the trials or competitive events.

Red Rose Land Rover Club - War of the Roses – We Need Your Feedback!
At this year’s event we mentioned it was very likely next year's event would be held at a new location.

With increasing costs and the likelihood that our current War Land for main event & trials won't be available for much longer the committee has made the decision to move the event.
The new location is very likely to be Skipton, Yorkshire (more details to follow very soon)

The move also gives us an opportunity to look at other aspects of the event – including whether we should keep the traditional date or move to a new one.

A possible move to late July could offer a number of benefits, including:

✅ More families being on school holidays, making it easier to arrive earlier and stay longer.
✅ More time to spread activities across the weekend instead of trying to fit everything mainly into Friday and Saturday.
✅ Greater opportunity for additional activities such as green laning, tug of war and more family events.
✅ The chance to split the raffle and auction over different evenings, making both more enjoyable.
✅ Better spacing between WOTR and other club events, helping improve attendance throughout the year.
✅ Fewer clashes with other major events and a better opportunity for people to make a longer weekend or family break of it.

That being said also keeping the event on its traditional date also has advantages to:

✅ It's the weekend everyone has become familiar with over the last 10 years.
✅ Members can plan around a date they already know and expect.
✅ It maintains the tradition and consistency that many people value.

What an amazing day yesterday's Red Rose Land Rover Club's War of the Roses was.
Seven teams took on the challenge this year, and the final scores were incredibly close.
Congratulations to the Scottish Land Rover Team A for taking home 1st place!
It's safe to say that all the teams thoroughly enjoyed this year's WOTR. Thanks to everyone who took part and helped make it another fantastic event!

- If you're entering the War of the Roses or any of the trial events, you'll also need a valid Motorsport UK RS Clubman Licence (free to obtain).

Thank you to everyone who has already donated a prize for our charity raffle / auction being held this weekend during our main event RRLRC - War of the Roses 2026
Please keep the donations coming its greatly appreciated and helps massively raise the amount we can donate to Bolton Mountain Rescue Team at the end of the year.
We had a bundle of goodies arrive yesterday from Brookwells - some amazing kit, I especially love the caps & sunglasses
Turbo Rebuild have kindly donated a hybrid turbo core which are stronger and give quick spool time - winner can choose from one for a tdi, td5 or tdci
