One of the coolest cars we've worked on lately, a VW Lupo GTi!
Already becoming a modern classic, the Lupo GTi launched in 2000 with a 1.6l 125PS engine that could get it to 60mph in around 8s. In many ways, it's the true successor to the Mk1 Golf GTi, moreso than the Mk4 and 5 Golf GTis of the same period.
It's a truly small, light performance car that also happens to look amazing with its stout bodykit, big wheels and twin central exhaust tips.
What are, objectively and without bias, the three best hatchbacks ever made, and why are they:
1. Clio V6 Phase II
2. Lupo GTi
3. Megane R26R?
(Aston V12V, Ferrari FF, Z3 M Coupe etc. are disallowed answers, even if technically hatchbacks)
