Amazing photos from 1932, with a handwritten note on the reverse 'Links Road Garage, Port Seton. Phase 1. Er****on of Theo Pumps' . . . relocated during this week's long overdue high dusting sessions . . . the joy in seeing these pics again canny be stated!
The Theo Multiple Pump stood in the middle of the island that still stands in the middle of our forecourt with our two pumps at either end . . . the Theo stamped tank lids for the fuel grades remain in place, although the tanks were decommissioned long ago. The Theo Pump was the most AMAZING piece of equipment - ahead of its time - dispensing up to 6 fuel brands from the one pump! Beloved Maisie recalled that our Theo dispensed Red Line & Scotch commercial fuels, Cleveland Discol, National Benzole and BP - which Maisie said was the best.
The wooden garage is the foundation building of our Links Road Garage with Wiles' buildings in the background . . . and washing drying on the line to the right! Possibly before the Pond Hall was finished?
I've no idea who the two gents are although - to me - they look fair away with their new piece of kit . . . if they only knew the happiness that seeing their faces has brought - almost 100 years in the future . . . they'd never believe it!

THERE IS NO FUEL SHORTAGE. Currently - there is no fuel shortage. BUT if folk continue to panic and buy as they are presently, they will create a fuel shortage. PLEASE buy sensibly. Take only what you need. Don't add to the madness of this dreadful situation by panic buying. Please. And, for the sake of having an image to go along with this post, sharing again a post from last year . . . just Imagine . . .

Shameful. No other words.

2025 brought some of the biggest industrial turmoil in generations. The closure of the Grangemouth Refinery has become yet another symbol of our nations industrial decline.

2026 must be different. It starts with elections at Holyrood where the voice of energy workers will be heard loud and clear. The message being simple - back us, back our communities and back Scottish industry.
