Beacon Park Boats is a family-run business offering luxury narrowboat holidays on the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal in the Brecon Beacons National Park, South Wales. We design and build each of our canal boats to include luxurious features such as 4-poster bed, ensuite bathroom, hot tub, log burner and home cinema. We know it's a bit earlier than we usually post but just wanted to wish everyone a happy today 🐦 - a chance for us all to celebrate the stunning serenity the Mon & Brec canal allows us every day!

Whether it's that beautiful daily sunrise which appears over the mountains or the crisp morning air which greets every guest when they step out of their narrowboat to mark another fine holiday day 😃

Today is and we at Beacon Park Boats are fortunate enough to find ourselves surrounded by some truly fantastic falls - from an area known as 'Waterfall Country' 🌊 to major motion picture film sets 🎥 and much more in between!

• '𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆' 𝗮𝘁 𝗬𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘁𝗲 - a 30-45 minute drive to a variety of stunning waterfalls renowned throughout the UK, including Sgwd yr Eira & Sgwd Gwladus

• 𝗛𝗲𝗻𝗿𝗵𝘆𝗱 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀 - about 40 minutes west of Brecon by car, these falls are the highest in South Wales (at 90 feet!) and also may be familiar to movie buffs as the location of the entrance to the famous Batcave in Christopher Nolan's 2012 epic 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘋𝘢𝘳𝘬 𝘒𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘙𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘴

• 𝗖𝗹𝘆𝗱𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗚𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲 - for those looking for something a little closer to home, these atmospheric falls can be accessed by a short 10-20 minute walk from the canal's towpath (no further transport needed!)

The sheer amount and variety of natural wonders we have at our doorstep on the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal never ceases to amaze! 😍

It's the start of June and you know what that means? The start of summer is upon us! 😎

Now we know a 'British (or Welsh!) summer' doesn't automatically mean clear blue skies and sizzling sun, like it has been in previous weeks, but we can always hope! 🤞
