We’re pulling back the curtain — and we’re not sugarcoating it. 🎬
Starting this week, we’re giving you a real look inside what it’s like to run a high-end campervan conversion business. The wins, the setbacks, the late nights, the problem solving — all of it. Because if you’ve ever been curious about what actually goes on behind the builds you see on here, this is your chance to find out.
We’re a small, close-knit team. Family feel through and through. And that means every single person here wears multiple hats, every single day. There’s no vast corporate infrastructure behind us, no army of departments to absorb the pressure when things get hard. It’s just us — and we take enormous pride in that. But it also means that when challenges stack up, they stack up on the same small group of people who are already giving everything they’ve got.
And right now? The challenges are very real.
Today we’re shining a light on something that affects us almost constantly — our suppliers. The leisure industry is growing, it’s exciting, and we genuinely love being part of it. But it’s also a slow, traditional industry that hasn’t kept pace with the demand placed on businesses like ours. The infrastructure, the lead times, the communication, the consistency — it doesn’t come close to what you’d expect if you were working with the likes of BMW or Toyota. And when you’re trying to build vehicles to a genuinely high standard, those gaps hurt.
Layer that on top of everything else the current economic climate is throwing at small businesses — rising costs, squeezed margins, supply pressures — and you start to understand why doing this well is so much harder than it might look from the outside.
We’re not sharing this for sympathy. We’re sharing it because we think you deserve to see the full picture of who we are, how we operate, and why we care so much about getting it right.
This is Cosmic Campervans. The real version. 🚐
