A visit to the Renault Kadjar we had recovered earlier in the week except this time it was recovered from the customer’s home address and transported to Govan for engine repairs after the timing chain had snapped, despite having been replaced less than 6,000 miles prior.

We recently carried out a repair on a Hyundai i20, replacing both front suspension springs after they had both failed and broken.

We’ve recently had a Vauxhall Corsa in the workshop with a snapped exhaust backbox, which we’ve now replaced and restored to safe, proper working order ✅

A damaged or blowing exhaust isn’t just noisy – it can be dangerous:
⚠️ Fumes entering the cabin – Exhaust leaks can allow harmful gases like carbon monoxide to enter your vehicle.

Recently we had this audi a3 in for some mot work

Replacing worn drop links on the front of an Audi A3 to get rid of knocks and restore proper handling — simple job, but makes a big difference to how the car feels on the road.

While in there, had to deal with a sticking front caliper too… and that’s something you don’t ignore.

A seized or sticky caliper isn’t just a minor issue:
⚠️ Causes the car to pull under braking
⚠️ Builds up heat in the wheel
⚠️ Eats through pads and discs unevenly
⚠️ Can lead to serious brake failure if left

🛠️ Sorted by:
• Freeing off and checking the caliper
• Cleaning & greasing slide pins
• Inspecting the piston for corrosion
• Making sure everything moves as it should

💡 Reminder: Repairs like this might not be flashy, but they’re essential. A quiet suspension and properly working brakes make all the difference.
