*** Congratulations Maya ***

Maya has been a Canadian full licence holder for a number of years but having moved here to marry her husband a few years back, decided to get her UK licence. Although Maya had had a licence in Canada she had rarely driven due to high anxiety, so this was almost like starting again! We had lessons over a few months and she managed to get an early test date while I was on holiday, so took her test in the family car.
Well done for all your hard work Maya and have fun driving your little bubba around Forest Row and the Forest 🚙💨

*** Congratulations Ted Pollari ***

A late posting for Ted, as I've been away on holiday and he took his UK driving test in his own car on 10th October. Ted has been a full licence holder in the USA for many years, but he and his family moved to the UK a few month back and he needed a UK licence to keep driving here. We just did three sessions around Sevenoaks, to familiarise him with the area. Just a couple of driving faults, so a job well done🚙💨

*** Testimonial - Helen Macdonald ***

Although I managed to pass my driving test almost 25 years ago, I've always been nervous behind the wheel, hated driving and would put it off if I possibly could! Since losing my husband to cancer last year, I've become more and more housebound, as the fear of driving took over. A friend of mine had done some work with Lin and suggested I see if she could help me! Thank goodness!

From the beginning Lin put me at ease. She understood that I was nervous and remained calm at all times, which made me calm too! We used some beautiful essential oils (Peppermint and Wild Orange were my favourites), I learnt some breathing exercises, took things slowly and I was encouraged to reframe my stress and embrace the things that had previously been challenges.
I began to look forward to our drives and realised, finally. that I was a safe and competant driver. I cant thank her enough and would highly recommend her to anyone!

Helen

A fantastic result for Ciaran today, with a wonderfully composed drive out of Sevenoaks Test Centre.... An almost perfect drive fault-wise and smiley compliments from the most picky examiner (IMO) 😁

Lots of lessons, recent private practice close to home in Weybridge with Dad, and most importantly the willingness to work things out, rather than simply being told what to do!!

Really nicely done, Ciaran. A thoroughly well deserved driving test pass. Enjoy the additional freedom this offers you.... and stay safe out there! 🚙💨

I have been working with a lady in her early 60s, who had a horrendous non fault accident a couple of years ago, which left her in hospital for 3 months and in a wheelchair for 6 months. Not only did the accident shatter her leg, knee and pelvis, it destroyed her confidence and ability to drive to such a degree that she had completely forgotten how to drive!!!
After initially only managing to drive in an off road area, we gradually increased things over a number of weeks, as she became more confident and able, using both my dual-controlled car and then her own cars.
Imagine my thrill to get this message yesterday....

Have driven to Guildford & back on own on A roads :-) Thank you so much for giving me the confidence to do that drive. 9 months ago I never thought I would be able to drive again.
I found that I talked the drive through to myself as I drove as we've been doing together, both what I was doing and my future plan: what to anticipate, get ready to do next etc.
Thank you so much Lin, it's been incredible. Wendy x
