We had a Renault Kangoo EV recovered into our workshop that wouldn’t start or charge, lots of warning lights on the dashboard. After investigation, our EV technician traced the fault to a broken wire at the high voltage battery. We were able to source a replacement wiring loom and once fitted, the Kangoo was able to start and charge with no more warnings or faults. After a quick service we were able to hand a happy customer back their electric van so it could get back to work, shout out to the team for the technical info on this recent repair.

We had a Toyota Prius brought into the workshop with a hybrid system fault, after carrying out checks with our diagnostic equipment we could see a communication error with the High Voltage inverter. Further investigation helped us establish a break in the wire, once the broken section of wire was located we were able to carry out a repair. All outstanding faults were gone and the Prius road tested without issue, able to hand the customer back his Prius saving on a very large previously estimated cost for repairing the fault.

Renault Kangoo ZE brought into the workshop with very little charge left in the high voltage battery and would not accept a charge. After carrying out testing of the charging socket, the fault was traced to a blown fuse in the charging cable, after opening the battery charging block to check for any damage, we replaced the blown fuse and checked the charging system for operation and were able to confirm that the BCB was operating normally, knowing that the Kangoo would now charge, we were able to replace the charging lead and socket and charged the van up, ready to get back to work.
